The Dallas Arboretum
The Dallas Arboretum is a gorgeous 66-acre botanical garden, and the best time to visit is the fall for pumpkin season! Check out Smoky Rose which is right next door for some great food and drinks before or after (Robbyn's fave is the spicy cucumber marg).
Katy Trail
Robbyn and Shane love an after work walk on the Katy Trail! For some pre-wedding exercise, walk the trail all the way to Knox and stop at either Berkley's or Foxtrot for a coffee or matcha, and enjoy it on the walk back.
Dallas Museum of Art
Robbyn and Shane love Chihuly and have seen his work all over the country. Not only does the Dallas Museum of Art feature a large Chihuly installation, the museum has free admission and is located very close to the venue and hotel blocks.
Dallas Farmers Market
Huge farmers market with vendors, restaurants, and a massive plant store right next to it. This is the farmers market Shane and Robbyn visited the day they got engaged (as well as the location of their second date).
Oishii Sushi
One of Robbyn and Shane's most frequented date night spots! Highly recommend the yellowtail special, golden roll, flower roll, royce roll, and a lychee martini! There are many located throughout DFW so wherever you're staying, you're probably close to one.
Bowen House
Where Robbyn and Shane had their first date and where they got engaged! The drink menu is constantly changing, but their burger is one of the best in Dallas.
Meso Maya Comida y Copas
Home to what Robbyn considers the best drink in Dallas, the avocado margarita.
Sixty Vines
Another frequent date night spot, Robbyn and Shane recommend the crispy zucchini app, splitting the salmon and the campanelle, and then ending the meal with a deviled affogato. Oh, and a glass of any of their sauvignon blancs.
S & D Oyster Company
Right next to Bowen House is one of Robbyn and Shane's favorite patios and favorite sandwiches! This place can get busy especially when it's nice outside but the patio vibes and oysters are perfect. (Patio ONLY, do not sit inside. Trust us).
Loro Asian Smokehouse
An Austin original, just like Robbyn! Everything at Loro is great but their drinks (including their mocktails) and apps are the best part. Both Dallas locations have great patios for enjoying a spicy mandarin margarita, corn fritters, and a rice bowl!
