Patrick, also goes by Pat, is the oldest brother of the groom. He lives in Augusta GA with his wife, Lauren, and their two sons, Jace and Ellis. Patrick is a loving and caring father, husband, and brother. He and Shane have always had a tight bond and stay connected over the phone and by visiting for Holidays or vacations when possible.
Libby Goodwyn

Libby and Kate have been best friends since 9th grade (2006) where they met in class and were inseparable for the entirety of high school. In high school, they would have sleepovers back to back nights and spent nearly every weekend together watching movies, talking constantly, exploring the outdoors hiking, or swimming at Lake Anna. Libby has a lovely home in Fredericksburg Va with her husband, Zach and their 3 dogs.
Philip Taylor
Groomsman
Philip is the youngest brother of the groom and he lives in Texas with his wife, Ariel. Shane and Philip talk on the phone frequently, usually playing computer games with some buddies. They chat about side hustles, their life goals, sharing their truck knowledge, and goofing off laughing eerily similarly.
Morgan Gustafson
Bridesmaid
Morgan is the middle sister and a close friend of Kate's. The sisters have always provided each other with a lot of support. Morgan was always such a sweet caretaker when Kate was sick bringing her water and food trying to find ways to comfort her. After the bride went off to Virginia Tech, Morgan soon joined her in Blacksburg to start her time at Tech. She and Kate lived together the summer of 2014 in Blacksburg and Morgan was one of the best roommates Kate had at Tech. They now live on opposite ends of the East Coast and stay connected planning visits, holidays, and vacations. Morgan recently married her amazing husband, Dennis, and they have a new home in Deltona FL with their 2 dogs and 1 cat.
Dakota Rushin

Dakota is one of Shane's best friends, having met in the 6th grade. Dakota and Shane have a long history of discussing hopes, dreams, and philosophies. However, more often than not, they can be found laughing hysterically at absurd, hypothetical scenarios that they dreamt up. Even though hardly anyone gets their jokes, they know deep down that they are true kings of comedy. Dakota currently lives outside Atlanta, GA with his lovely wife, Amanda, and their three amazing kids.
Shanna Nikki McKenzie
Bridesmaid
Shanna, who also goes by Nikki, is the youngest sister of the bride and a close friend. Growing up, they played all sorts of games of pretend, danced to the Spice Girls in various dress up, had plenty of disagreements, and Shanna happened to be the canvas they used for some painting one hilarious day. Now they plan holidays together and show up for each other when things are hard or exciting events come up. Last year, Shanna got married to an amazing man, Dawson, and they have a beautiful home in Mechanicsville Va with their sweet dog Piper.
Allen James
Groomsman
Allen is one of Shane's best friends from high school. The two met when Allen moved to VA in the 9th grade. Allen and Shane developed a strong friendship over the years through a combination of sports and dark-humored jokes. They have fond memories of staying out late, drinking beers on the pier, and taking jokes way further than they needed to go. Allen is an officer in the Army and is currently stationed at Fort Benning in Georgia.
Cara D'Anello

Cara and Kate met in the Fall of 2018 when the bride was looking for a roommate after moving out to Amherst MA to be near Shane. Cara was the first person to respond to the craigslist post and it was like fate intervened. They discovered how much they had in common in the time it took to show Cara the little rental house and they decided to be roommates the next day. Living together went as smoothly as it can go and the two developed a deep friendship where they can share the sometimes hidden parts of themselves. Cara and Kate love to spend time hiking with the dogs, going out dancing, hanging out at each other's places, getting drinks, practicing yoga, and kayaking when weather permits. Cara lives in a sweet minimalistic apartment in Northampton MA by the river.
Andrew Myers

Andrew and Kate met at Virginia Tech in 2010 when Andrew was visiting some mutual friends. He was studying at Drexel University in Philly at the time and decided to transfer to Tech after visiting and having such an amazing time in Blacksburg. Countless weekends at Tech for the bride included hanging out with Andrew and friends either partying, hiking the AT, biking around Blacksburg, watching planet earth, and talking/debating different topics. Andrew moved back to Philadelphia after completing undergrad at Tech and the friends take turns visiting each other when they can.
Daniel Friedman
Bridesman
Daniel and the bride met at Virginia Tech back in 2010 playing beach volleyball outside on the Vawder court. They were next door neighbors when they moved off campus and enjoyed hanging out nearly every Sunday keeping up with Game of Thrones, partying with Andrew, and hanging out outdoors. Daniel and Kate still keep in touch visiting each other when they can and having zoom calls to catch up. Daniel lives out in Joshua Tree CA where he completes various projects and cares for 2 adorable huskies.
