Please know that we are very fortunate to have most material things that we need in life. We have a basement and kitchen full of 'stuff' to prove it! We are therefore NOT expecting gifts from our guests. Your presence is present enough and we are sincerely excited to see you! However, if you feel so inclined, we will accept gifts in the form of cash, check, or direct payment methods. Funds collected from our wedding will be used for retirement funds and investments. Below are options for donations to our future! Venmo: @AmandaKate-Nixon CashApp: $katean92 Paypal: @amandakate92 If you prefer to provide an actual gift, please reach out directly to the bride or groom.
We want all of our guests to feel comfortable, so please wear something that makes you feel good even if it is not quite semi-formal. There is no reason to buy a new dress for this event. If you have something slightly dressy you can wear, that will work. We care more about you being there than what you are wearing. Note: Please don't wear white as the bride will be wearing white.
No. We would like our bridal and groom parties to stay on the site of the venue, but there will be limited space at the resort, so a local hotel, motel, or AirBnB/Vrbo would work well. If you are staying at or near the resort and would like to share lodging with other guests but don't know who to ask, feel free to reach out to the bride and groom.
There are chalets that hold a max of 6 adults ($150 a night) and cabins with a max of 2 adults and 2 kids ($80 a night) available on site. Please note that the cabins are not very big, so we recommend contacting the resort to discuss further details. There is also a limited supply of onsite lodging, so please plan accordingly. Local hotels, motels, and rentals through Airbnb and Vrbo are available near the wedding site at affordable rates.
We will have a BBQ buffet style meal with traditional sides for a BBQ. We will arrange special vegetarian or other dietary restrictions with the caterer, although we need to know of any needs by January 2022.
The event is BYOB, although we plan to have some wine and beer available to share with guests.
The plan is to have the ceremony outside in the grass field with the mountains in the backdrop, although that is weather permitting. The reception will be held indoors at the clubhouse on the resort. The outdoor ceremony will be in the grass, so getting heel protectors for walking in the grass may be a good idea for anyone in high heels. (I ordered gogo heel stoppers from amazon for my shoes, and they look very durable and had good reviews.)
No. We can start setting up the venue at 8pm on Friday April 1st, so we will have a quick rehearsal for those that are part of the ceremony in the clubhouse at that time. For those that are part of rehearsal, please grab a bite to eat ahead of time.
Please let us know if you will be attending the wedding or missing it by end of January 2022. You can let us know before then or sometime during the month of January. We really hope you can make it and we totally understand if you cannot. Please note that if you have not rsvp'ed by end of January, we will assume you cannot make it.
Please plan to start arriving for the ceremony at 4pm on Saturday April 2 at the Skyline Ranch Resort. The address is 751 Mountain Road, Front Royal VA
Yes! Kids are welcome and we included yours in our guest list. You are welcome to come with them or without them. Whichever you prefer.
When you RSVP, you will be given the option to put in details for your plus one if we anticipated you needing one. Please reach out to us directly if you are confused or need a plus one.
It depends on where you stay. You may not have a dog in any building on the resort. Dogs are only permitted in the RV and tent camping areas, not in cabins or chalets, so if you plan to bring your pet, you will want to find a pet friendly hotel, motel, or rental like AirBnB or Vrbo.
