How do I get to the Boat?

455 N. Cityfront Plaza Dr • Chicago, IL 60611 Odyssey Chicago River is docked near NBC Tower at 455 N. Cityfront Plaza Drive, on the north side of the River Esplanade between Columbus Drive and Michigan Avenue.

What time will the cermony start?

Answer

We will start promptly at 6:00pm. Guests should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony. Again, this is a cruise wedding so, literally, “Don’t miss the boat.”

Do I have to stay at the Embassy Suites?

No- we have blocked rooms to ensure we provide options for you to stay while in Chicago. We highly recommend you research and find options that suite your needs, budget, and tastes.

When should I arrive?

Answer

The wedding is on Saturday and starts promptly at 6:00pm. Guests can still fly in the day of, however, we would love to see your faces for our get together the day before.

Aboard the Odyssey- a glass enclosed yacht, that will be sailing on the Chicago River

No, the hotels listed on the site are within walking distance to boat dock.

Formal invitations will be sent a few months prior, please RSVP as soon as you can.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Yes, we are considering hosting a small gathering on Friday evening, the day before the ceremony, stay tuned to our website for more information.

Yes, please indicate your guest on the RSVP via the formal invitatio you will recieve via mail

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, we suggest using a travel site such as Travelocity.com or Hotels.com, and do so early as they have more competitive pricing and options. If you are not able to secure a room in sufficient time, we have blocked rooms at the Embassy Suites.

What is the cheapest Airline?

Answer

It depends on your location, we advise that you bargain shop and do so early to get the best rates. Look for sale times which are aroud the holidays and early summer.

Which Airport is the closest?

Answer

Chicago has two airports Chicago O'Hare and Midway. Both are relatively close to the magnificent mile; however, in some instances it is cheaper to fly into Midway.

What happens in the event of rain?

Answer

The cermony will be moved to the reception area.

Where will the ceremony be held?

Answer

The ceremony will be held aboard the Odyssey Chicago. The ceremony will be on the outter deck and the reception will immediately follow inside the boat.

What happens if I am late?

Answer

You will literally and figuratively miss the boat. We will be cruising the Chicgo River and will not dock the boat until after the reception.
