Check out the White House, Washington Monument, U.S. Capitol, Jefferson Memorial, WWII Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and tons of museums (if they're open due to Covid).
You can go paddle-boat riding in the Tidal Basin. Again, you may have to check if the rental kiosks are open due to Covid but if they are, it's definitely something worth experiencing.
These are the stairs that were filmed in the iconic movie "The Exorcist". It's located at the end of M street in Georgetown where there are plenty of shops and restaurants to check out as well. This area is gorgeous!
Here's a really good restaurant in Dupont circle (where the ceremony will be held). There's also a huge night scene in this part of DC.
In case you want to grab some sweets from DC's most famous Bakery shop, check out Georgetown Cupcake. It's pretty close to The Exorcist stairs.

This is a great restaurant in the heart of Chinatown Galleria where there are tons of other pubs, restaurants, and an AMC movie theater to check out.
