Wedding Party

Connie

Maid of Honor

Connie and I lived together for nearly three years in some truly awful East Village apartments. We spent our early 20's bar-hopping until sunrise, binging TV with cheap wine, and debriefing bad dates. I’m incredibly lucky to have had such a kind, fun and adventurous roommate in my first 'real world' apartment.

Romik

Best Man

People love to call their closest friends "day ones", but with Romik, that is literally the case. My best man visited me in the hospital the day I was born and has been a part of my life ever since. We grew up together, trained in Taido, eventually ended up living together, and somehow came out on the other side of that still friends. He's been there through every phase of my life, knows me better than almost anyone, and is the closest thing I have to a brother. I'm so lucky to have him standing next to me today.

Jenn

Bridesmaid

Jenn and I met during freshman year orientation. Countless wine nights and sleepovers in her dorm room followed, cementing her role as a go-to person for heartfelt talks during undergrad.

Sean

Groomsman

Sean and I met at UGA in the shared experience of being part of a club we both immediately bonded over not taking too seriously. This naturally turned into a fast friendship. Over the years our friendship developed from boxing partners, to roommates, and now we rarely go more than a week without catching up over games or trading book recommendations. He's one of those friends who shows up consistently, keeps life interesting, and makes everything a little more fun.

Phil

Bridesman

Phil was unlucky enough to have a dorm room across from mine freshman year of undergrad and would also generously let me crash on his air mattress during senior year. Now, over ten years later, our friendship has graduated to endless movie marathons with Jenn.

Andrew

Groomsman

I met Andrew, better known as Dobby, at a trivia night where we immediately bonded over knowing way too many random facts. From there, he quickly became the kind of friend you could talk to about anything. Even though I’m loath to admit it, he’s a better cook than I am. I’m still going to steal his recipes, and I’m so thankful to have him by my side today.

Bella

Bridesmaid

I knew Bella and I would be friends after we kept clicking during class discussions at Hunter. Since that first post-class happy hour, she’s been my favorite classmate turned confidante. Even when life took her to Paris for a few months, we still managed to stay close across time zones. Bella is a true adventurer with a heart of gold, and I’m so happy to finally have her and her warmth in the same city for the big day!

Ben

Groomsman

Ben is my cousin and the closest relative I have in age, and despite living across the country in Portland, that distance somehow disappears every time we’re together. No matter how much time has passed, it always feels like we’re kids again in my basement, playing video games and picking up right where we left off.

Nabela

Bridesmaid

Between being an incredible mother to Rayya and Cyra and managing work, Nabela still finds the time to be the sister-in-law I can always count on. Over the years, as Rohan and I have watched the girls grow, I’ve been so lucky to grow closer to her, too. Whether she’s checking in with a text or showing up with her latest baked goods, she does it all with a grace that I truly admire.

Tarique

Groomsman

Tarique is Shafrana’s brother and someone who immediately made me feel like part of the family. He’s funny, a great dad, and an excellent cook—which alone earns a lot of respect. Whether he’s cracking a joke or offering direct, no-nonsense advice, Tarique brings humor and honesty into every room. Now he needs to teach me how to properly dance to Soca music.
