Rohan's Story

It all started in March 2020, right before the world decided to hit pause. After meeting on Hinge, we had just had our first date when I took what was supposed to be a quick “two-week” trip back to Atlanta. You know how that went, two weeks somehow turned into months. Suddenly, date nights became FaceTime calls, takeout dinners meant comparing what we each ordered from different cities, and “goodnight” texts were replaced by falling asleep mid-conversation with our cameras still on. Somewhere between the discussions of how we’re our own brand of nerdy, I realized we had something pretty special. When the world opened back up, so did our story, and the rest has been a mix of adventures, inside jokes, trips across the globe, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting. We’ve seen each other through new jobs, big moves, and the kind of days that remind you why love is both ridiculous and completely worth it. After four years, a few plot twists, and a lot of memories later, I asked, and she said yes. Now we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you, the friends and family who’ve been part of our journey. Here’s to the next chapter! - Rohan

Shafrana's Story

Rohan and I met on a last-minute Hinge date on March 13th, 2020—the day before bars closed in Manhattan. I remember Rohan leaving for the bathroom and instantly feeling butterflies… and regretting going straight to the date from work. His Hinge pictures were awful! We proceeded to text and have FaceTime dates while he was in Georgia and I was in New York. Finally, he came back to the East Village—as did I—and we got to see each other again. Rohan continued to wow me with his charm. After a few months of dating, we finally made it official in November 2020. In the summer of 2022, we moved in together in Murray Hill, also marking our departure from the East Village. It feels like so long ago, but I remember being surprised by how easy it was. I spend 90% of my time with Rohan and still find myself tapping on the bedroom door to interrupt him when I miss him. Now, in spite of the very real wedding planning stress I feel as I type this into our website, I truly can’t wait to finally marry the love of my life and the kindest man I’ve ever met this November. - Shaf
