Things to Do + Sangeet Attire Guide

The Wedding Website of Shafrana Carpen and Rohan Lall
Welcome to our favorite city and the backdrop to so many of our memories. The Lower East Side and East Village are where we spent our delinquent youth; long nights, late slices, and being with friends. Below are a few of our favorite places to eat, drink, and explore while you’re here celebrating with us!

I'VE NEVER BOUGHT AN INDIAN OUTFIT, WHERE DO I GET ONE?!?

When you’re shopping for Indian wedding attire, some pieces come pre‑stitched (ready to wear) and others do not. Pre‑stitched means the garment is already sewn together and shaped so you can wear it without any tailoring. Some sellers list outfits as unstitched or semi‑stitched. This means you’ll receive fabric pieces or partially sewn components that are not yet a finished garment. You would need to have them sewn by a tailor before you can wear them. Unless you already have a seamstress who you know can complete the work before the event, you should order something that is fully pre‑stitched.
