Updated 5/13/21 Thank you all for bearing with us while we made (and re-made, and then re-made again - we can seriously not recommend enough NOT planning a wedding during a global crisis) wedding plans! While there are still some uncertainties about exactly what restrictions there may be this summer, outdoor gatherings are currently allowed and all signs seem to point to these gatherings only being more possible as we enter the summer. Based on consults with our vendors and current CDC guidelines, we are proceeding with our wedding plans for July 3rd in Harrisburg, OR! We will continue to follow all State of Oregon mandates to ensure a safe environment for everyone. At this time, masks and social distancing are still required. Should this change, we will update our website again. Please continue to check this website and our FAQs to stay updated about any important information on safety requirements related to Covid-19. Like we said, this is a brand new wedding! Unfortunately, Winter 2021 took some notes from 2020 and decided to be a total bummer. Our prior venue in Silverton, OR was forced to close down indefinitely due to ice storms in February 2021 that destroyed the property beyond immediate repair. By some sort of cosmic fate, we were able to find an alternative venue on short notice – Stewart Family Farms in Harrisburg, OR. This new location is closer to where we now live in Eugene, which is about 1.5 hours from Silverton. As such, please check out our new “Travel” page on this website for updated information on hotel blocks and travel information. If 2020 has taught us anything, it is the value of flexibility :) We look forward to celebrating with you at our lovely new venue, Stewart Family Farms in Harrisburg, Oregon!

We met during our time as graduate students at the University of Oregon. While we were initially not much more than casual acquaintances during our time as students, we eventually found ourselves as roommates living in Portland after graduation. Through the magic of time, charm, and a little liquid courage, we began to date – and the rest is history! Over the July 4th weekend in 2019, we traveled to Philadelphia to visit friends and after a day of sightseeing Independence Hall and encountering Ben Franklin look-a-likes, on our last night in Philly, Seth asked Rachel to marry him! Despite some road bumps along the way in wedding planning, we are very excited to honor that memory and get married over the July 4th weekend in 2021. As you know, we had to cancel our June 2020 wedding due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus. As heartbreaking as that was, we are beyond excited to look towards the future and a time where we can all come together and celebrate. As we thought about the prospect of planning a whole new wedding, we thought about how important it is to us to have our families and friends in attendance. We hope you can join us and look forward to celebrating this next chapter of life with you all!
