Three and a half hours from Salt Lake City, Cedar Breaks National Monument is like Bryce Canyon, but smaller and higher up. It’s full of colorful rock formations and wildflowers in July, and it’s nice and cool up there.
About four hours south, this one’s a classic. Towering red cliffs, slot canyons, and hikes like Angels Landing and The Narrows. It gets busy, but it’s popular for a reason.
Four hours from Salt Lake City, check out the incredible rock formations called hoodoos. You can hike down into the canyon on trails like Navajo Loop or just enjoy the views from Sunset Point or Inspiration Point. It’s also one of the best places in the country for stargazing!
