There are Hot spring to explore plenty of natural ones around NM and southern CO . . . here is a rather gentrified yet accessible one a little under an hour from Chimayo.
New Mexico is an amazing place filled with . . . state a federal parks (these are lands appropriated from either Native Americans or Spanish Land grants by the US). Lots of trails and more to explore! Definitely looking Chaco Canyon (World Heritage Site and National Park) for a bigger trip: https://www.nps.gov/chcu/index.htm There are SO many AMAZING places to visit in NM if you are looking at a longer visit.
We will coordinate a few optional group activities before the wedding . . .
One of a kind immersive art experience for all ages
Abundant art, restaurant, interesting people flourish across norther NM. There is so much to do between Albuquerque, Espan~ola, Taos and Santa Fe (the latter 2 being international tourist destination). We tend to stay close to home and recommend: https://santafe.org/Visiting_Santa_Fe/Things_to_Do/Road_Trips/Taos_and_the_High_Road/ Which we live off of. In Chimayo be sure to visit Our AMAZING Playground - on Route 76 next to the Catholic Church at the Arboleda Center El Sancutario (largest pilgrimage destination in the USA) Centinelia Traditional Arts and across the Street the foundry - amazing art passed on through the generations
