LAX and Burbank are Los Angeles's two airports. Burbank is much closer to South Pasadena and Descanso Gardens, about a 20-minute drive. LAX is about a 45-60-minute drive, depending on traffic. You can easily get Lyft rides from the airports, and LAX has a shuttle that goes to Union Station downtown, which is a short metro ride from South Pasadena and Pasadena. We're happy to help anyone figure out transportation.
You can also use Airbnb. We live in South Pasadena, if you wish to be close by. Pasadena, Highland Park, Altadena, and Eagle Rock are good places to look, as well as La Canada, which is right next to Descanso Gardens. Downtown L.A. has a few cool, historic hotels, such as the Figueroa and the Biltmore, if that's more your thing.
