FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

As a guide we suggest cocktail attire, but we want you to feel your best, so we invite you to dress in whatever makes you feel good and vibrant. We will be in an outdoor garden setting and temperatures will fluctuate, so we strongly suggest bringing layers. The ceremony will be under oak groves, and we will be walking along garden pathways, so we recommend staying away from stilettos. Reception is also open-air though covered.

Question

What's the weather like?

Answer

We are blessed with gorgeous weather pretty much year round. For our out-of-town guests, L.A. does get "cold," though nowhere near the temperature fluctuations of the East Coast! The weather is generally mild in April, so expect temperatures in the low to mid 70s during the day dropping into the 50s in the evenings. Please keep in mind that the venue is in the hills and the temperate will drop as the sun sets. We recommend bringing layers to ensure that you're comfortable throughout.

Question

Will there be transportation from the hotel?

Answer

Yes, there will be a shuttle to and from the hotel. If you decide to stay in an Airbnb or at other accommodations you can still access the shuttle from TKTK. The shuttle will leave the hotel at 4:45pm and leave from Descanso at 9:30pm.

Question

Are there other cool things to do in L.A.?

Answer

Yes, lots. Please click on the Things to Do tab for suggestions, or ask us directly.

Question

What are the lodging options?

Answer

We've reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton in Old Town Pasadena, it is a 15 minute drive from the hotel to the venue site. You can make reservations using the following link: http://www.hilton.com/en/hi/groups/personalized/P/PASPHHF-HFWB-20180426/index.jhtml?WT.mc_id=POG Alternatively, you can call the hotel directly, mention Sepideh Hakimzadeh & Jay Fernandez hotel block and our group code HFWB. There is also the option of Airbnb in the Pasadena area. We would be happy to assist in finding a desirable location. Lastly, if you want something a little more extravagant, there is The Langham, where we will be staying Saturday night.
