What happens when a slow driver is in front of a fast(er) driver? Well they get married of course! Fate works in mysterious ways and we were both headed the same direction. We got onto the same freeway and took the same exit. By this time we had definitely noticed each other ( a little racing back and forth). After stopping at several intersections with numerous smiles and glances, Lana found a scrap of paper to write her digits on. Unbeknownst at the time, at the last red light before our 20 minute encounter would end and our paths part, Lana rolled down her window. Sean jumped out of his truck and ran over to get the paper before the light turned green, causing quite a ruckus amongst the other motorists (whistles and laughter of approval). A few minutes later the phone was ringing and from that point on the rest is history. Seriously history...we've known each other nearly half our lives.
On Exuma in the Bahamas, we were enjoying the calm and vibrant views of a nearly secluded beach where we were staying. Sean got down on one knee and forgot everything he was going to say. Lana doesn't remember what she said, but a resounding YES was the answer.
