What is the dress style?

Answer

The dress style will be cocktail attire. Think fancy, fun, and comfortable. No shorts please. We do not recommend stillettos or thin heels for the barns or grounds. We recommend flat sole shoes or platform block heels. Trust us and your feet will thank you. It may get a little chilly in the evening so we recommend a shawl or light jacket. If you'd like, bring sunglasses for the ceremony which will be by the pond.

What are the COVID protocols?

Answer

We ask that everyone be fully vaccinated or provide proof of a negative test (taken no later than 48 hours before) to prevent the spread of COVID and protect vulnerable attendees. We are very grateful to you for keeping yourself and our other loved ones safe. Masks are not required.

Question

Can I bring outside alcohol?

Answer

No, but we will have beer, wine, and signature cocktails along with a champagne toast. There will be mocktails, sparkling tea, and ice water as well.

Will there be a shuttle?

Answer

There will be a shuttle service from the Hampton Inn Leesburg and the Courtyard Marriott Dulles Town Center, boarding at 3:15pm ET and leaving at 3:30PM ET sharp from both locations (please get on the Point2Point bus that says Crook Wedding - SYLVANSIDE FARM) on a first come first serve basis. We recommend all attendees arrange transportation (if they choose to not use the shuttle) so that they may arrive and leave the party safely. Ubers are not reliable in the area. If you are driving to the event (and not drinking), we ask that you drive 5mph while on the gravel roads according to venue policies. Departure from the venue will be at 10:45pm for both buses back to each hotel.

What activities will there be?

Answer

We will have many lawn games (Cornhole, Jenga, Bocce, Connect 4) and a firepit for S'more roasting. Of course there will be plenty of drinks, a bountiful dinner, and questionable dance moves. Explore the Sylvanside grounds to include Clydesdale horses.

When do the festivities end?

Answer

The festivities will be coming to a close around 10:45pm so that by 11pm everyone has left the venue. We thank you for joining us on our special day!

How can I get from the parking lot to the ceremony if I have mobility issues?

Answer

We will have a golf cart shuttle service for those with mobility issues to take them to the ceremony from the parking lot.

Where can I park if I choose to drive?

Answer

You will be directed to a parking towards the back of the property. Please drive a max of 5mph on the gravel road. Please do not park on the grass. The lot is only a short walk to the ceremony's location at the pond near the Manor House. A golf cart will be provide to assist those with mobility issues. Remember to drink responsibly. Do not drink and drive for your safety and the safety of others.

Can I smoke on the grounds?

Answer

Smoking or vaping is not allowed inside the barns. There will be designated smoking areas to smoke at and trash receptacles that you may use. Cigars can be smoked by the firepit.
