This spot is beloved for its classic Québec comfort food—think poutine, club sandwiches, and hot dogs. You’ll even find two types of poutine sauce to try: the traditional gravy (Scott’s favorite) and a BBQ-style gravy (Leonie’s favorite). Fun fact: this isn’t American BBQ sauce—it’s a rich brown poutine sauce with a hint of paprika.
Nestled just off Route 349 in Saint‑Alexis‑des‑Monts, the Pont de Broche (Wired Bridge) is a historic, gently swaying suspension footbridge spanning the Rivière‑du‑Loup. Built in 1906 (with help from Leonie's ancestors) to help schoolchildren cross safely and replace the old ferry system, it has since been lovingly maintained and restored through the years. It is located right by the Dupuis Family Farm.
Saint-Alexis-des-Monts is home to many scenic trails maintained by La Nature d’Alexis. A Dupuis favorite is the Lac de l’Aqueduc trail, which rewards you with a stunning viewpoint of the village and valley at the halfway mark—making it a short hike with a big payoff. You can either head back down after taking in the view or continue up the mountain to complete the loop around the lake. Trail access is not strictly monitored, but we kindly ask that you purchase a day pass online to support the care and upkeep of these trails.
