A little over 10 miles away, Carmel Valley Ranch is a 20-minute drive to the wedding venue. They have their own vineyard, honey bees, deer and geese. The scenery is relaxing and there are activities for everyone in the family.
Hotel

This cute resort has a boutique-meets-cottage vibe, and is dog-friendly. Just 15 minutes away and a little over 10 miles away from the wedding venue, you will feel like you're far away from the crowd.

Travel Note
Many guests will choose to book a room at Casa Munras Garden Hotel and Spa, or at Hotel Abrego, which are a 5-to-10 minute walk away from the wedding venue. The rates below (click on VIEW below) are special group rates that are typically discounts not available to the general public, but are not booked under our wedding block (which is TBD). Please be advised prices can fluctuate and these can sell out. Please note this list includes hotels that are far away from the immediate area of Monterey/Carmel. We recommend for your driving convenience, you book lodging in the cities of Monterey or Carmel only (as opposed to hotels listed in Santa Cruz, Salinas, Gilroy and Watsonville).
Flight
MRY is a small airport that is just 3.4 miles away from the wedding venue. The terminal is open daily from 4:00 AM until the arrival of the last flight. Alaska Airlines: Traveling with wine? American Airlines: Checked Baggage Payment When flying out of MRY, American Airlines accepts cash payment for checked baggage at the ticket counters. However, if paying by cash, passengers must have exact change for the baggage fees.
Flight
SJC drops you off in San Jose, the artery of Silicon Valley. If you fly into SJC, we recommend that you rent a car to make the ~75-minute drive from San Jose, CA to our wedding venue in Monterey, CA.
Flight
For our international guests, please note that all air passengers aged 2 and older, regardless of vaccination status, must show a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 1 day before travel to the United States. For our out-of-state guests, please note that SJC is closer to Monterey, CA than SFO. We recommend you rent a car to make the ~100 minute (1hr 40 mins) drive from SFO to our wedding venue. If you drive as carefully as Helen drives, it would take you approximately 2 hours to drive from SFO to downtown Monterey. According to Quora, According to the Bay Curious podcasts Oakland and San Francisco airports started at the same time. However, the O in SFO has nothing to do with Oakland rather the O was chosen simply because San Francisco has an O at the end of it's name.
