How We Met

12.14.2015

We met at a local bar through mutual friends and exchanged numbers the first night we met. After a few text conversations, modern technology failed us and neither one of us received a reply back. Months went by and we even ran into each-other a few times at the same bar with no communication. Finally, after seeing him on a night out and not being able to figure out why he "never texted me back", I went up to him to find out. My leap of faith led to us talking the entire night, laughing at the fact that neither one of us received the text the other replied months earlier. As the night came to a close, Adrian very charmingly asked " So can I take you on a date sometime? " Our first date took place a few weeks later on 12.14.15 . We went bowling at 12pm on a Monday afternoon. Then he brought me out to lunch to an empty restaurant that he jokingly claimed he "rented out just for us". We had so much fun that day and now consider it our anniversary because from that day on we both knew this was going to be something special.

The Proposal

10.10.20

We had planned a big trip away at our favorite upstate getaway. We had been there several times before, and wanted to share this special place with friends. Us and twelve friends rented a house at the Lodge at Harrisburg Lake, where Adrian had been coming since his childhood. The night we arrived, we all went to the local bar to kick off the vacation weekend. That night, Adrian asked me to go on a hike to catch the sunrise the next morning, just the two of us. Early the next morning, we got up at 6am and went to see the sunrise. As we walked down the road, we came to an opening where you can see the lake & view of the Adirondacks. We stopped for a moment and I quietly said " This is our spot!" He suddenly looked at me, and replied " Now it will be our spot forever". He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, which I immediately said YES! We walked back to the house, which our friends had decorated, and had champagne ready to be popped. Needless to say, I spent the rest of the weekend screaming "WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!" to anyone who would listen.
