Here we set up our first apartment together. The Island has our heart Having lived in Galveston for 3 years, I highly recommend taking a day trip down to the beach, 30 mins south, hit the waves, do a little line dancing at Buckshots, go shopping for eclectic pirate art and oceanic fossils or find the witchery and magic store! (its an experience, trust me.)
It is also a 10 min drive to the Kemah waterfront from the wedding venue. Kemah is a bustling promenade filled with amusement parks and cute waterfront restaurants. It's a more reasonably priced amusement at the edge of the water. You also have the Pleasure Pier with its Ferris wheel giving you oceanic horizon for days, but the tickets are cheaper at Kemah for whats technically the same view. Make a trip down during sunset. You will not regret it
