The Wedding Website of Gina Schwartz and Josh Freeland
Before you text the Bride, the answer to your question might be here.
Question

What are the colors and theme?

Answer

Glad you asked. The theme is somewhere between the masquerade ball scene in the 1980’s cult classic, Labyrinth, and a gathering of woodland fairies. Our colors will include ivory, highlighted by varying shades of plum and grey tone purples.

Question

How will the day flow?

Answer

Excellent question! The ceremony, at Rock Creek Veteran's Memorial Park--Amphitheater will be fully open to the public, anyone is welcome to attend. Please arrive no later than 3:45 to allow us to start right at 4. Immediately following the ceremony Josh and Gina will skip off for a little to take photos and have a few moments together. The reception will be held at Blue Door, on the square, at 6pm. During the 5-6pm hour we ask you to enjoy the Gainesville Square. We suggest grabbing a drink at Downtown Drafts. We ask for everyone to please respect that our reception will be a private event, wristbands will be issued to guests in attendance. Our plan is for Blue Door to open to the public as they normally would on a Friday night for DJ and dancing, approx. 9pm. Josh and Gina will stay for a little while of this and will make their grand exit during this time, probably around 11:30 unless the day gets us sooner, it’s gonna be a long one but amazing!

Question

Are children permitted to attend?

Answer

Great question, glad you asked. Unfortunately this will be an ADULTS ONLY event. Any children in attendance will be given directly to the goblins for childcare. Please be advised the goblins are terrible sitters. We recommend making proper arrangements for your littles.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

In order for us to have everyone near and dear present and stay within our budget we will not be accepting any additional pulse ones at this time.

Question

Will the DJ be accepting song requests?

Answer

So glad you asked, short answer is NO. Due to questionable musical choices by some attendees (lookin at you mom LOL), you know who you are, the DJ will be given a list of acceptable songs for the reception prior to the event. Only the Bride and Groom can approve any additional music. The after party will be the standard “Late Night” at Blue Door and normal DJ operations will resume.

Question

What if it rains?

Answer

So glad you asked. Plan to get wet, unless it is lightening or otherwise unsafe to remain outside the ceremony will proceed outside. Bring an umbrella if rain is forecasted. The great outdoors are an important part of our day and will do everything in our power to keep that aspect in tact.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

So happy to answer that…semi formal attire with shoes that are comfortable and easy to walk in are recommended. Both grass and stairs will be involved in the day. Imagine the 1980’s cult classic “The Labyrinth” and a band of woodland fairies had a love child, that’s the vibe we are going for. Masquerade masks are highly encouraged for the reception. For those unfamiliar with the movie, the masquerade masks featured in the movie are similar in appearance to the goblins, as if behind the mask would be the goblins human form.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

YAAAASSSS!!!!! We will be doing a cash bar. Our bartenders have donated their services so please ensure they feel as loved as they are!

Question

Can I take pics/videos?

Answer

During the ceremony we ask everyone please put your phone away and on silent. We have multiple photographers to take amazing shots of the ceremony. They will remain through the reception however we encourage everyone to take photos of the reception and after party. Make sure to post them using #finallyfreeland2023 so we can see all of them.
