Being a big sister has always been one of Kayla’s favorite roles in life. Kayla has always had a built in best friend from the day Anna was born. Growing up with a sister, there is one thing Kayla was sure on: if there ever was missing a piece of clothing or pair of shoes, she would always check Anna’s closet first! Some favorite memories with Anna include: growing up together, our trip to Sedona, our multiple per week FaceTime sessions, and so many more to date. Kayla feels blessed to have a sister that she is so close with, and who will stand up next to her as she says "I do!"

Best Man
Sam and Anthony have been best friends since they were kids, and lived in the same neighborhood. They really became close in middle school where they were always outside goofing around in the hood, or playing on the same sports team. They lived together in St. Cloud when Anthony got his dog, Barney, and then again at the house on Randy Ave next to the girls.
Morgan Field

Morgan and Kayla met at Gustavus on the swim team. From that point forward, Kayla knew that they would be fast friends due to how similar their personalities are. They have had some of the deepest heart to heart conversations, and Kayla loves them all. Morgan and Kayla ended up dating best friends/neighbor boys together (and are now marrying them both - classic!) and have been on a lot of great double dates or group dates with their people. Some favorite memories with Morgan include: trip to PCB, trip to Anna Maria (not the part where she sprained her ankle), being in the same sorority & pledge leaders together, a million memories at the house on Randy, and becoming dog mamas!
Dillon Benz

Dillon and Anthony meet in high school through mutual friends, and became fast friends. He also was in St. Cloud when Anthony was there and of course, the shenanigans then began with the two of them. Dillon and Anthony also lived post-college at the house on Randy Ave where their friendship continued to grow (including both falling for a girl next door). Dillon actually got the MN Twin’s tickets for Anthony to take Kayla out on their first date and for that they are pretty thankful (THANKS DILLY B!)
Olivia Erickson

Olivia and Kayla have been pretty much inseperable since middle school when they met in music class. They have been through SO many stages of life together, and Kayla can always count on Liv no matter what the situation is. Some favorite memories include: all of their high school classes they had together (choir, DP, etc), Liv coming to visit at Gustavus (inclusive with a trip to El Agave of course), and pie runs to Baker's Square. Olivia has always been a rock for Kayla!

Matt and Anthony also met in middle school and lived in the same neighborhood. Him, Sam and Anthony loved to goof off together and their friendship continued throughout middle and high school and beyond. Matt also lived in the house on Randy with the guys.
Danielle Klunk

Dani and Kayla were paired as random roommates when they both decided to futher our swimming careers at the University of Iowa. After an injury setback, Kayla transferred to Gustavus her sophomore year. Dani decided to also transfer to Gustavus her Junior year and then they were in the finally in the same place at the same time again - and the rest was history! Some favorite memories with Dani include: PCB spring break, swimming together at Iowa and Gustavus, being in the same sorority (Deltas), her living with the Hutsell family in the Valley for a short stint, and all the memories at the house on Randy Ave.

Ty and Anthony are buddies from middle school, where they had lockers next to each other. These two, along with Sam, had lots of adventures together throughout their middle and high school eras including being on sports teams together, playing video games, or MEA weekends at the Dells.
Jennifer Gronseth

Jenny and Kayla met and swam against each other when they were really young (probably between 10-18) on their club swimming teams. They were probably rivels with each other at some point in the pool! They re-connected when Kayla went to Gustavus to swim and found out she was living just a few doors down from Jenny and her roommate at the time, McKenna. Jenny is such a goofy, fun-loving and great friend, and spending time with her always makes Kayla smile. Some favorite memories with Jenny include: her getting hangry, being in the same sorority (Deltas), Texas NCAA's, swimming, Shogun dates, being college roomies, long talks in the caf, PCB, standing up with her as she married the love of her life, Kevin, and our recent trip to Chicago!

Matt is the younger brother of Sam, and has always been around with Anthony and this group of guys growing up. Whether it is yelling at the TV during the Vikings games, playing in a Sunday softball league, or just hanging out, Matt is always someone that you want to be around.
McKenna Van Fossen

McKenna and Kayla met when they were 10 years old swimming on the same club team (Dolphins), but after a few years, McKenna and her family moved to Northfield where they lost touch. Flash forward to when Kayla transferred to Gustavus, and the two instantly re-connected and became fast friends. They lived down the hallway from each other sophomore year and had so many fun memories throughout college. Some favorite memories with McKenna include: being college roomies at the Pound, PCB, Shogun dates, our recent trip to Chicago and standing up with her as she her married the love of her life, Matt!
Isaac Minnehan

Isaac and Anthony met in St. Cloud where they became close. Sam, Anthony and Isaac had lots of fun memories together including being regulars at McRuddy's for the $1 beers, playing NHL all night long, and going to the quarries.
Katie Olson

Katie and Kayla met at Gustavus where Katie was one of the most welcoming people on the swim team. They became the best of friends throughout their sophomore years, and even traveled to NCAA's in Texas together with a few other teammates! They ended up choosing to room with each other junior year, and then moved into a house with a few other friends senior year. After college, they were roomies again at Randy Ave for 2+ years, so Kayla calls Katie her lifelong roomie & one of her greatest friends! Some favorite memories with Katie include: being forever roomies, PCB, countless swimming memories including Texas NCAA's, being in the same sorority, the night before graduation, and all memories at Randy.

Jacob & Anthony are high school friends that met through band. Their friendship continued to grow throughout high school & beyond, stemming some of the great memories like their Philly trip, Fred Mark tournament, and poker nights.

Tarin and Kayla also met at Gustavus on the swim team. Tarin and Kayla love being silly with one another, and became quick friends. Tarin also was on the trip to NCAA's sophomore year which is one of Kayla’s favorite college memories of all time! Throughout their time at Gustavus, they kept themselves busy with Deltas (greek life) and swimming. Some favorite memories with Tarin include: PCB & “Train”, Texas NCAA's, Deltas, so many fun nights in St. Peter, and being short term roomies at Randy.

Tommy is Kayla’s younger brother. As the middle child, Tommy was the self proclaimed “golden child”. Some favorite memories with Tommy include: terrorizing Anna as a kid, watching him be a successful sports athlete, various family trips and more!

Alli and Kayla met at Gustavus also on the swim team but Alli only swam her freshman & sophomore year before pursuing other interests. They both pledged for Delta Phi Omega (a local Gustavus sorority) and became great friends. Throughout college, they had tons of sorority gatherings and parties and Alli was always the life of them! After college was over, Alli was one of the ladies that moved into the Randy Ave house, and 4 years later, she's still there (with new roommates)! Some favorite memories with Alli include: being in the same sorority and Greek life advocates, “LADIES!”, the countless memories on Randy Ave, and watching her become a dog mama!

Eric babysat for Anthony growing up. Mark, Eric's dad and Peter, Anthony's dad were best friends and their separate families became one giant family throughout the years. Anthony loves hanging out on Eric's boat on the St. Croix River, and spear fishing in Alexandria at the cabin.

When Kayla transferred to Gustavus, she didn't know a ton of people and the people she did know already knew who they were going to live with next year. So, Kayla opted for the random roommate selection again, where she got paired with Kaitlin! They met up the summer before moving in together at the MOA, and Kayla knew when Kaitlin ate and finished her "Gotta Love It" size of Coldstone ice cream that she was going to be a great friend. Kaitlin and Kayla were roommates sophomore year, neighbors junior year, and roommates senior year. Some favorite memories include: pledging Deltas together, Kaitlin coming to cheer at swim meets, working at Patrick's together, and many more.
Fran Christy

Fran is the lucky (or unlucky?) soul that got to marry into the Heieren family when marrying Mark's daughter & Eric's sister, Kelsey. Fran has been around Anthony for years. Anthony and his friends attend a golf tournament honoring Fran's dad each year, which they love going to. Fran also is a part of the spear fishing crew in Alexandria, and the father to our cute ring bearer & flower girl duo!

Fritz is our little goofball! Son of Fran & Kelsey and brother to Layne, this little guy has a smile that can light up the room. We can't wait to have him be a part of our big day!

Layne is the daughter of Fran & Kelsey and sister to Fritz! She is one adorable girl and we can't wait to have her be a part of our big day!
