Best Man
Paolo and Matt were college roommates at Western and have enjoyed years of friendship, old movies, camping, and a love of overalls. They are both deeply grieving the loss of Lee's drive-in, home of the $4 breakfast and Bellingham's finest geriatric patrons. Paolo is always down for a ridiculous outfit, befriending strangers, blowing kisses at old trucks, or a deep talk over coffee. Matt and Paolo are stuck in a cycle of continuously growing out and shaving off their moustaches.
Maid of Honor
Sarah and Caroline met as flat-mates at Western Washington University and quickly became best friends over countless long nights of studying, their shared need for sweets like raw cookie dough and oreos in the house, and their love of blasting show tunes and scream-singing along. Almost all of Caroline’s favorite college memories include Sarah. Sarah has always been one of the clearest voices of reason for Caroline--the first person she calls in a crisis, the person whose advice she knows she should listen to most, and the best person to cry to when things aren’t turning out right.
Groomsman
Crosby is Matt's middle brother. They enjoy backpacking, making faces at babies, golfing, and watching stand-up together. In college they worked together at a car dealership where they had to share a set of uniforms which really accentuated their 9 inch height difference. This was only made bearable by Crosby's saucy dance moves in the detailing bay. Crosby is always down to make some delicious pesto or create a ridiculous persona/outfit for an otherwise boring activity.
Maid of Honor
Alana and Caroline’s friendship did not get off to a good start, and depending on who you ask you may hear that Alana bullied Caroline in the 6th grade. Regardless of whether or not this is true (it totally is), Alana and Caroline became best friends while both sobbing on an airplane during either 8th grade Civics class trip to Washington DC. Alana was crying because the plane was flying through a massive thunderstorm and Caroline was crying because the in-flight movie was ‘Marley and Me’. Alana eventually got over her fear of flying but Caroline still cries at sad dog movies. Either way the two bonded and have been best friends ever since. Alana is the kind of friend who always picks up the phone no matter what, and listens whole heartedly.
Groomsman
Kenyon is Matt's youngest brother. They enjoy party games, giving compliments to dogs, cheating at Monopoly, and hoping to find hidden treasure. Deeply inspired by the movie Cool Runnings as children, the 3 brothers once made a wooden bobsled with wheels. Kenyon was willing to be the "brakes" while going down a gravel hill near their house. Though they never made it to the Olympics, Kenyon somehow survived the incident with all ten toes. He is always down for a spontaneous adventure or a game of Catan.
Bridesmaid
Maddie and Caroline met riding the bus home in elementary school and despite not being too thrilled with each other in 1st and 2nd grade, their friendship has grown over the years. Maddie, being a year older, has always been Caroline’s big sister. Determining whether certain boys were worth Caroline’s time, providing fabricated alibi's (sorry mom), and driving the getaway car when needed, Maddie filled the role of big sister with flying colors. Maddie has always been a person Caroline looked up to. The day Caroline graduated from college, Maddie was there helping her get ready to walk across the stage and claim her degree. Although they live far away from one another, Maddie makes sure to keep in touch by sending a constant stream of memes to make Caroline laugh.
Groomsman
Will is one of Caroline's childhood friends. Matt and Will became close friends while sharing a platform tent for three months while working at a summer camp. They once caught a racoon trying to fish through the floor of their tent for Will's (contraband) granola bars. Will is always down to help out with a project, join a dance party, or tell the truth before you make a terrible life choice. They share a love of drinking cold-brew coffee or sangria on a sunny porch.
Bridesmaid
Libby and Caroline met working at Four Winds Camp. Despite attending at least 5 of the same summers, Caroline and Libby never met until they were counselors. This was overall a good thing as experts agree that had they met in childhood they may have burnt the entire camp down. From the first summer they met, Caroline and Libby have gotten into some serious shenanigans. As certified grown ups, they cause significantly less chaos but still try to get up to trouble whenever they’re together. In addition to her excellent capacity for causing ruckus Libby is also one of Caroline’s favorite people to talk to in the world. Libby is the kind of friend who never forgets to reach out and who, no matter how long it's been, makes you feel as loved and important as ever.
Groomsman
Schultz and Barker have a years long battle over who gets to be Matt and who has to be "other Matt." On a camping trip down the Oregon Coast with friends, they once woke up in the rain and had to put all their belongings into dryers at a local laundry mat. Unfortunately the only clothes that stayed dry were far too small for either of them meaning the patrons of the breakfast café got quite the show. They share a love of being terrible at fishing, making fun of children, building things, and dressing like old men.

The only way to describe Ashly and Caroline’s friendship is happy chaos. Ashly and Caroline met by coincidence when Caroline posted that she needed another roommate for her college house. Ashly responded to the post and it was a completely perfect match. Ashly’s sense of humor and genuine kindness made them a good roommate and great friend. Ashly has an ability to make Caroline laugh like no one else and a majority of Caroline’s favorite pictures and videos are of Ashly making a face or funny voice. Although they no longer live in the house on Garden st, Caroline loves visiting Ashly and is always excited to catch up.

Matt and Sam were in a choir together in high school and went to college together. Matt went on his first backpacking trip with Sam. They both share a love of animals, the outdoors, and stargazing. Sam is an amazing hiking buddy because they are always down to share fun facts, exciting fruit, kind words, and their music. They were asked to leave a karaoke bar on Matt's 21st birthday for flooding the song queue with Alanis Morrissette. No regrets.
Bridesmaid
Lexi and Caroline met in college and bonded over their shared love of themed parties and outlandish group games. Both former camp counselors, getting the attention of a large group of people and making them participate in group activities came naturally. Lexi’s confidence and ability to bring out the goofy-fun side in others has always impressed Caroline and made her one of Caroline’s favorite people to hang out with. Most of Caroline’s favorite stories involve a crazy idea from Lexi. It was actually Lexi who got Caroline to dress up like a superhero and attend the birthday of a guy she didn’t know, who just happened to be Matt Schultz. Although they don’t have nearly as many crazy ideas these days, Lexi and Caroline remain close and never neglect to share a good Tik Tok with one another.
Groomswoman
Karen is a friend of Matt's from Fairhaven college. When Matt and Caroline moved to Portland they all reconnected over a shared love of Elton John and roller skating. Matt and Karen once mistook a fire-hydrant for a lost child when the defrost in Karen's car broke and made it hard to see. The fire-hydrant was safely returned to its mother. They both enjoy herbal tea, meeting strange people, and foraging. Karen is very good at befriending old people, animals, and babies which can make a trip to the coffee shop both terrifying and delightful.
Bridesmaid
Rachel and Caroline met when their moms were co-president’s of their high school’s PTA. Jannie and Terry’s friendship became so close that The Best Family began attending all the Schuler family holidays. Having another person around to laugh at the family chaos brought Caroline and Rachel close. Although they live far away, Caroline always looks forward to catching up each time she returns home. Rachel’s genuine nature and commitment to the people she loves makes her the perfect person to share all your life updates with and her sense of humor always makes family get togethers that much more fun.
