The scene: Matt's dingy college basement filled with discounted strobe lights from Goodwill and a subtle mist of Colt45 (and arguably 2 ZigZags). Caroline was dragged along by some good friends to Matt's birthday party. The invitations simply read: "Dress code - black tie or children's costume - be there or be square." Caroline arrived wearing the impeccable children's finery only Dollar Tree could supply. Matt donned an oversized tuxedo. After a quick exchange of Instagram handles and the vicious assault of a very ugly piñata, the two agreed to roll under Matt's garage door and into Bellingham's nightlife. Still donning their party regalia they enjoyed a night of karaoke and dancing. They had become fast friends. The friendship became more after bonding on a trip to Portland in 2016 and the rest is history.

We went for a drink at the Edgefield Mcmenamins where we had so much fun on that first visit to Portland. Matt had a really sweet speech planned but panicked when on one knee and simply asked "I love you. Will you marry me?." Caroline first screamed "Oh, my God!." To which Matt replied "What does that mean?" By now, you hopefully all know that she meant "Yes!" which is why we are so excited to celebrate with all of you! After a global pandemic, political zoo, career changes, and moving to a new city we truly cannot wait to see our favorites again!
