Kansas City, Kansas. Friday September 25th, 2015. A New York Boy sat down to dinner next to an Iowa Girl and started talking about football. Both still in school in separate states, KC will forever be the place their worlds collided. They talked throughout dinner and continued down to the bar with the other students. The Taylor Swift loving girls’ roommate joked that she found her new boy friend; which she quickly denied as he wouldn't stop talking about BBQ. A few sick roommates, a game of Cards Against Humanity, and a full elevator later, the Dave Matthews loving guy planted his first kiss in the hallway. Although they had met just a day prior, instructors from the seminar who knew both K&C separately asked how long they had been together. An instant connection sealed the fate as they swing danced the weekend away!

CoCo Beach, Florida. Sunday November 1st, 2015. After meeting a few short weeks earlier. a few Chiropractic students rejoined for a weekend in the sun. He played football in a bucket hat and she played softball in bright colored sunglasses. They played on the beach and jumped in the waves, dressed up in costumes and danced the Halloween night away. In a dance circle, he hoisted her in the air and spun her in a circle like dirty dancing. In their last few hours, they spent time alone jumping waves in the ocean. She asked to make everything official before going their separate ways and he agreed. The long distance relationship officially started and Halloween will forever be a big weekend for the KC couple.

Outer Banks, North Carolina. Friday May 17th, 2019. A New York boy drove an Iowa girl to the coast line, back to the ocean where they made things official 3 and a half years earlier. His plan involved many of his family members, to make it a day they would never forget. With a ring box in his waist line, a tall tale about a horse trail, and a secret bouquet of roses awaiting, she followed him around a dune and walked directly past the blanket in the sand. It took some convincing and a warm embrace for her to realize what was actually happening. As he got down on one knee, forgetting all the words he had planned but including all of the important ones, his Midwestern girl shook her head yes.
