All outdoors! The ceremony will be outside under the trees looking out to the river. The reception is under cover of tents by the cabin, also overlooking the river. There will be grass, so make sure you wear shoes that you are comfortable walking in the grass. But don't worry, there will not be any long walks, everything is in a centralized area.
There is free parking at the venue. The ceremony and reception will be held at the same venue. The owner of the venue will be there to assist with parking.
Here in late May, the weather should be perfect! The venue has both heaters and fans that can be used if need be, but we shouldn't need them. If it rains, there will be plenty of tents to keep us dry. The sunset here is beautiful so keep an eye out for it!
Semi-formal/dressy casual wear would be appropriate. A suit or dress shirt and slacks are good options for the men and for the women, mid-length dresses or a blouse with a skirt or dress pants. The main colors for the wedding are white, greenery and taupe.
We know that a COVID wedding will not look like a normal, pre-COVID wedding. These are the current precautions we plan to take. This may change in time depending on how things go between now and May: -We ask that you social distance and be mindful of others -We ask that you wear a mask unless you are eating or drinking -Hand sanitizer will be provided when you first walk in and can be found on each table -We will be social distancing the chairs during the ceremony and the tables at the reception -If you are not feeling well or have been exposed to someone who had tested positive for COVID up to 2 weeks prior to the wedding, please do not come. We prioritize health and safety above all.
