Fredericksburg, VIRGINIA

Welcome!

We are so happy and thankful to have you in our lives!

We are so happy and excited to celebrate with you! We are also in the middle of a global pandemic, how crazy! We are taking things one step at a time. Keep checking back in to see updates as we get closer to the wedding. Currently, we are asking all to wear masks and respect social distancing. We will be following the guidance of CDC, state and local guidelines. The venue is all outdoors for the ceremony and the reception; and we will do what we can to keep you all safe because we love and care for all of you! We also completely understand if you do not feel comfortable attending, much love will still be sent your way!

No Kids Please

We are asking for children under the age of 10 years old to not attend. We love children but we ask you to leave your children at home and enjoy a night out. We hope that you have an amazing time as we celebrate our marriage.

How We Met

It all started back in September 2016. I was the leader of the Audio Visual team for Cru and I recruited John to help with the sound board. I "trained" him on how it all worked and he was very kind and humble through it all. It wasn't until later that I found out that he actually had years of experience running sound board. When I asked him why he didn't say anything, he said "you never know what you may still learn." He was so kind and humble even with the experience that he already had. Fast forward a little bit, we went to a football game together and then drove to Coopers Rock, WV to watch the sunset. As we left, he asked "wanna watch the sunrise at the beach?" I said "sure!" Dan, John's friend who was also with us, agreed to the spontaneous adventure. John drove through the night and we then watched the sunrise on the beach in Ocean City, MD.

The Proposal

Folly Beach, SC

COVID can't hold back our love story! Well, at least not fully. Health and safety precautions were still taken into consideration during John's planning of the proposal. Nonetheless, he was able to pull it off - safely - while at the beach with his family. This is our story: John, his family and I were enjoying some time on the beach and decided to walk the shore as the sun was setting. The sun's warm glow glittered off the waters as we walked with waves dancing at our feet. We walked as a group and then there was a moment when his family was almost in a line on the sand with John and I at the water's edge. We were no longer a group, it was them and us. John then looks at me and said "I think you know what's about to happen." He then got down on one knee and proposed! I was not expecting it at all, I thought we were here on the beach just to enjoy time with his family, but I was surprised when John had additional plans. It was beautiful and I am so thankful that we got to share that moment with his family.

Next Steps Forward

We are very excited to take this next step together in life and are looking forward to getting to share this special moment with all of you.
