In true millennial form, Adam and Ally met on a dating website. After messages back and forth (and Adam dropping the ball once), they met up in April 2016 at Fainting Goat on U Street. Soon after, Ally was in and out of the country on work travel, but managed to see Adam (and fall asleep mid-date) during a brief stint back home. Adam and Ally quickly became mainstays in each others lives, mocking the love of their respective home cities, going on hiking and camping trips, Adam keeping up with Ally’s ever changing nutritional habits and rewatching Parks and Recs too many times to count. The relationship accelerated when, on a whim, Adam and Ally bought flights to Japan...almost a year in advance. Luckily, things went well, no one was harmed, and their love of traveling abroad together was confirmed. Less than a month after returning from that Japan trip, Adam proposed to Ally on the roof of their building overlooking the city they both love. After the proposal, both sets of parents surprised the bride-to-be with a picnic in Meridian Hill Park. Adam and Ally are excited to continue their modern day love story on November 10, 2019 and hope you'll be there to help them celebrate!
