Let’s just talk about the obvious one. Even if you only know about it because of Grey’s Anatomy, it’s made the Seattle skyline one of the most recognizable in the world. You don’t have to go up to the top if you don’t want to, it’s still pretty impressive from below. But, it’s an impressive way to view the city. At the top, the open-air deck offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of downtown, Mount Rainier, Puget Sound, and the Cascades and Olympic mountain ranges. The needle is the world's first and only revolving glass floor.
Pike Place Market had to make the list. I think right after The Space Needle, this is the second most iconic stop. How many markets do you get to watch a fish fly through the air whenever it’s ordered? Here you’ll be able to step foot inside the first Starbucks ever or pick up your favorite local flowers and add your chewed gum to the GUM WALL!
The Seattle water park is a good spot to relax and buy souvenirs. Check out the great wheel, the wings of Washington, or the carousel inside the Klondike arcade. Here you’ll be able to see ferries, street art, and the mountains over the distance.
Probably the best view of the city, Kerry Park is a perfect spot to feel like you’re escaping the city but still enjoying it. Grab a cup of coffee from one of our million other coffee shops and enjoy the breath of fresh air. For sunsets, check out GAS Works Park. Bring wine and sit on the hill to enjoy the city views.
Seattle is known for its hikes and Mount Rainier National Park is a must-visit. The park is home to Mount Rainier, a 14,410-foot active volcano surrounded by forests, trails, waterfalls, and wildflower-filled meadows. Paradise is the most popular area as it allows you to park and have a picnic right under the mountain. Let us know in advance if you would like to go hiking and we can arrange transportation for you.
Seattle has a variety of museums. The Museum of Flight includes a flight simulator and a space shuttle experience. The Seattle Art Museum has hundreds of works including paintings, drawings, mixed-media works, limited-edition prints, and photographs. One of my favorites is the Museum of Pop Culture where you will find a collection that spans genres like Rock, sci-fi, and video games, with exhibits dedicated to icons like Jimi Hendrix and Nirvana. Check out the Museum of illusions for some funny pictures or the Pacific Science Center for laser shows and dinosaurs.
This is where we had our first date, the Unicorn bar in the Capital Hill neighborhood. Capitol Hill is the coolest place in Seattle, mostly known for its night life. You will find clubs, bars, food, and music until late at night. During the day, you can find amazing coffee shops, thrift stores, vinyls, and much more.
