Visit the popular Dane County Farmers Market on Saturday morning on the Capital Square. Our favorite stop is for Stella's spicy cheese bread!
While also our wedding venue, Memorial Union is worth another visit. Hang out on the terrace at sunset and enjoy our gorgeous lake, a beer and some of the famous Babcock Ice Cream!
Savannah's favorite spot in Madison! Eno Vino is a rooftop bar that overlooks the Capitol Square. Head here for a tasty happy hour with fantastic views.
How often do you get to go to a free zoo?! The Henry Vilas Zoo is located close to where I (Cody) first lived when I moved to Madison. Just walk on in, check out the rhino (my favorite) and enjoy the outdoors. Again, it's free!
Want to see where our marriage journey began? Take a quick 15 minute walk to the end of the Picnic Point peninsula and take in the same sights where we got engaged! You'll get a pretty awesome view of Madison that you won't get anywhere else.
In the heart of downtown Madison, the Wisconsin State Capitol is worth 15 minutes to head to the top and get the best view of Madison you'll find in the city. And it's free! Head up to the top after a lap around the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning.
Madison has a fantastic stand-up comedy club located on downtown State Street. Savannah and I have seen plenty of shows here and it is a rip-roarin' good time. Be sure to check out their website to see if they get anyone booked for our wedding weekend. Would be a great option on either Thursday night or Saturday night. Just don't buy tickets for the Friday night show...we need you dancing at the reception!
Sports fan? Madison has a college summer development league team - the Madison Mallards. The league the Mallards are a part of has included players like Chris Sale, Curtis Granderson and Max Scherzer over the years. Catch a game and hang out in the Duck Blind. $40 ticket for all you can eat and drink (yes, that means beer, too).
