Getting Around

Since San Diego is mostly condensed and decently well connected - not to mention parking can be an expensive nightmare - we suggest using ride share services & public transit to get around. - The "Trolley" is a great way to get around downtown. The experience is very similar to the Light Rail in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area of MN. - Buses are readily available throughout the city, and use the same payment system/ ticketing application as the Trolley - The "Coaster" is a great option if you're looking to go a little farther out of the city. This is also on the same payment app as the Trolley, but trains are far more infrequent, stops are farther apart, and it takes you much further away. - The "FRED" is a great way to get around downtown specifically. This used to be a free service but now comes with a small service charge. Download the "Circuit" app and use it similarly to Uber, although it's much cheaper be warned that the wait times can be a little misleading. - Uber & Lyft are the easiest way to get around and are usually very affordable. This is the best option for getting to and from Coronado Island. - There is a ferry between Coronado Island and multiple spots in Downtown - run by Flagship Cruises. The Ferry landing will still put you about a mile from the Beach Bonfire location once on Coronado. In our experience the cheapest route has always been Uber/Lyft, but if you're looking for the cheapest way to get out on the water, this is it.

Hotel Information

There are about a zillion hotels in San Diego, so feel free to stay wherever works best for you. Unfortunately we could not find a willing partner for a hotel block, so instead we put together a small list of places that will put you in a good location for our events! If you want to be by the ocean & the Beach Bonfire…stay on Coronado Island. If you want to be in a lively party atmosphere and don’t mind a little noise at all hours of the night…stay in Gaslamp. If you want lots to do and to be close to the action…stay near Little Italy.
