Officially we're calling this "Beach Casual". Wear whatever you feel comfortable in, this is meant to be fun and relaxed! The beach can be chilly so layers are encouraged. For reference, the bride will likely be in a sundress and jean jacket.
The Beach Bonfire will be on Coronado’s North Beach near the Naval Base & Lifeguard Tower 6C. You can search “Coronado Fire Pits” or “North Beach” on Google.
SAN is our local airport. It’s located just minutes from downtown making transportation in and out a breeze. The view landing in San Diego can be incredible on the right day so if you haven’t been before be sure to get a window seat! Be warned though, the planes land right over Little Italy and it can be a bit jarring for first timers.
Stay wherever works best for you! There’s not a lot of budget hotels on Coronado Island but if you want more of a relaxing location and can afford it-go for it! There’s many options downtown (a quick Uber ride away). Mission Beach is super fun and does have quite a few vacation rentals/Airbnbs for larger groups but it is about 25-40 minutes away from the Beach Bonfire location depending on traffic.
Parking in San Diego is expensive and scarce and most activities are easily accessible by public transit or Uber. We do not recommend a car unless you’re doing day trips outside the city of San Diego or staying farther away. If you do rent a car we highly recommend ensuring your lodging has decent parking options.
Of course! We included kids on each invitation but if we missed any please let us know ;)
Yes, please indicate any dietary restrictions in your RSVP and we will do our best to accommodate. Dinner will be served buffet style.
The water is more for dipping a toe than swimming in but it’s beautiful to look at. There’s tons of room for running around and we’ll have games and activities to entertain you. If you want to just lay in the sun and eat snacks that’s fine too!
Please plan to RSVP by September 1.
