Neighborhood: Little Italy An adorable little diner with counter service and outdoor seating. The omelettes are *chefs kiss*.
Neighborhood: Coronado Island A living legend for more than 130 years, The Del has played host to celebrities, royalty, U.S. Presidents, and beach-loving guests for generations. The property is open to the public for wandering around and people watching in a breathtaking setting. Be advised - although exploring is free, any meals or drinks will cost you a pretty penny.
Neighborhood: Little Italy A tiny spot that’s perfect for the girls. Their spicy Caesar is on Kathryn's death row meal.
Neighborhood: Mission Beach Shockingly San Diego has several dedicated Vikings bars but Guava Beach is where it’s at. It’s crowded, they have a DJ, and a drink called the bionic beaver that everyone should try once in their lifetime. They do not take reservations and it fills up quickly so show up early if you want a spot on game day.
Neighborhood: Gaslamp San Diego has hundreds of taco spots and almost all of them are divine. Tacos el Gordo holds a special place in our hearts due to the authentic experience and flavor. They have a security guard and it’s open until 2:00 am so you know the people watching is great.
This is one of our favorite activities in San Diego! Offers a great narrated tour of the bay, with close looks at Navy Ships, Harbor Seals, Coronado Island, and Point Loma. Plus they throw in some excellent nautical themed puns - if you can "fathom" that! They also offer whale watching which is a lengthy time commitment but worth every penny if you have the time!
