Olympic National Forest, Washington

AIRBNB.COM is a useful site for those staying longer than the wedding weekend. July 1 is the last day at the wedding venue and we must depart from the cabins we are providing for everyone for the wedding weekend. But there are many cabins, AirBnB rentals, and even camp grounds or hotels in the surrounding area of the olympic national forest that you can research if you plan to stay and explore through out the week with your loved ones... Forks, Port angeles, and Sequim are cities not far for those wanting to use hotels if you plan to extend your stay also. There are also a few Lodges through out the forest but they are on the pricier side. If you do use AIRBnB.com I suggest typing in either Port angeles or forks and then moving the mouse around the provided map to check various areas in the National Forest. But remember that places do book up fast so keep an eye on any place your'e interested in. We also found many private owned cabins by doing a quick google search in the area.

Flight

Seattle, Washington / Portland, Oregon

SEATTLE and PORTLAND are the two closest airports to fly into, but you will have to rent a car to drive to the venue location. It is around 3 hours total from either airport. If you fly into Seattle, about one hour of that is driving your car onto a ferry that crosses a river, if you fly into Portland there is no river to cross. We suggest discussing flight times and plans in the FB group to see if anyone would like to share a rental car and carpool together from the airport. Remember: FLIGHTS ARE RISING, so start researching your flights now or you may end up with very pricey bookings as the summer season in the venue area is the most popular. Please Don't wait until last minute to book flights if possible as we would hate to see anyone waste their money. We want to make this trip as cheap as possible for everyone. A helpful APP on your phone or site on the web is HOPPER, you can set your destination & time then click "watch this flight" this will give you alerts when is best to buy

Wedding Weekend Travel Notes

~ Everyone is Welcome to arrive to the Venue site Friday June 29th at 1:00PM. The site will not be open to any of us until 1:00PM so we suggest flying in to arrive either in the morning or anytime before 1:00PM so that you can give your self enough time to get to the venue, unpack and enjoy your selves. We have cabins that are provided and already paid for everyone to stay in from friday June 29th until sunday July 1st but we must all depart in the afternoon of July 1st. If you cant get a flight arriving before 1:00PM on friday June 29th do not worry we will all be there waiting for you at the venue site. The Wedding day is Saturday June 30th. ~ The site to book your Ferry if coming from seattle is this :http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/ ~ Make sure you get on the right ferry from seattle and head to port angeles area , we took the one to Kingston from Seattle then drove from there
