If you are staying for 4th of July Port Angeles has a great Fire work spectacular that goes on!
If you're a Twilight fan, ( I am..hashtag no shame) you can Visit Forks... but let me warn you that most of the movie was filmed in Portland, and Canada, only a few scenes were filmed along the coast and on the Rez but I don't actually think any of it was filmed in Forks hahah.. but you can find silly signs and really lame vampire souvenir stores.... BUT IT DOES HAVE COFFEE, and a few close restaurants if your hangry or hungry during the time you're exploring the Park if you don't want to drive all the way back up to Port Angeles if you are staying there. If You are staying near Forks, that is really the only place you will find your food ;)
Here are a few online suggestions of things to see and do near Lake Crescent.
This is a REALLY cool coast line to see so don't pass it up! There are a few beaches you can check out between the Furthest most northern point of the west coast Mainland states called Cape Flattery, La Push, Rialto Beach, Mora, Kalalock Beach, Sekiu and Neah Bay ( you can sometimes whale watch here) , Hobuck Beach and many more, just explore on google of all the shore lines in the area !
If you're into Lakes, Lake Crescent isn't the only place to see, Check out the surrounding lakes, rivers for fishing ( if its in season) and even Hot springs.
Victoria, Canada is only a 30min Ferry rise from port angeles if anyone is interested in taking a day trip there. A few things to note : Canada sees DUI’s as felonies and does not allow anyone with a “felony” in, some cases they don’t check your history- in other cases sometimes they do, the risk is up to you if you have had a DUI and want to try to get in, but keep in mind you might be turned away and sent back to Port Angeles. If you don’t have a passport or special entry visa is your not from America I would look into one now if you make this a part of your plan during your trip, I do know if you’re an American you can get a Visa card which allows you into only Mexico and Canada by car or boat - it cost 30$ and takes about 6 weeks and done at the post office.
