FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sarai Gutierrez and Sakri Kmimech
Question

Will da Bad Bugs be there?

Answer

Unless teleportation now exists, sadly, no! As much as we wish we could sneak them into our suitcases, they’ll be staying home getting endless cuddles and snacks from their sitters. Let’s be real — they probably won’t even miss us (but I'll be secretly crying about not being around them).

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as you know or by March 1st using the RSVP section on our website. We know that’s quite a bit ahead of our October wedding, but there’s a good reason! Since we have a limited guest list, we’d love to be able to invite other close friends and family if some guests can’t make it. This early date also helps anyone we extend an invite to plan ahead — book flights, hotels, and snag good deals before prices go up. Thank you so much for letting us know early — it means the world to us.

Question

What if I RSVP’d “yes” but now can’t make it?

Answer

Totally understand — LIFE HAPPENS! Just give us a heads-up as soon as possible so we can adjust plans on our end. And since it’s a destination wedding, this is your gentle nudge to grab some trip insurance — you know, just in case the universe decides to throw a curveball.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We love you — and we wish we could invite everyone’s favorite people! However, due to wedding budget (let's be honest, weddings are $$$$), our guest list is very limited. We kindly ask that only the names listed on your invitation RSVP attend. Thank you so much for understanding (and for helping us keep this an intimate celebration).

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Unless you had a secret love child we don’t know about (and didn’t list on your invite, hehehe), the only children invited are the ones specifically included in your RSVP.

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Check out our Travel section for more in-depth suggestions. The nearest airports are Vigo (VGO) and Santiago de Compostela (SCQ). Both are within easy reach of Pontevedra — about a 30 mins to an hour’s drive away.

Question

When should I arrive or depart?

Answer

We recommend arriving at least two days before the wedding to shake off jet lag and enjoy the area. The main celebration will take place on Monday, October 5th, with optional welcome and farewell gatherings on the days surrounding it. We would LOVE to hang out with you before/after the wedding :) We recommend making it all whole vacation trip around our wedding. You already made it all the way here, why not enjoy other areas while you're close ($$$ and vacation days permitting of course).

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We’ll share a list of recommended hotels, guesthouses, and Airbnb options soon! We recommend staying near Bueu or the closest main town Pontevedra (only a 30 min drive to the venue). Pontevedra is full of charming spots — we suggest booking early, as it’s a popular destination.

Question

Do you have any travel tips?

Answer

Things can add up quickly—especially when you’re traveling overseas! That’s why I highly recommend spacing out your bookings to make the costs feel more manageable and starting months in advance. Start with the biggest expenses first: book your long-haul flights early, then your smaller connecting flights, followed by hotels a few months later, rental cars after that, and finally any tours or special activities. Breaking it up this way makes the trip easier on your wallet—and by the time you get there, all you’ll really be paying for is food, drinks, and fun (aka, girl math says the trip is basically free 🤭). One more tip: check for travel perks through your credit card company, airline memberships, or even your phone provider! You’d be surprised where you can find discounts. Sites like Costco Travel, Sam’s Club, or BJ’s often have great deals worth checking out.

Question

Can I make a vacation out of it?

Answer

Absolutely! We HIGHLY recommend it. Galicia is one of Spain’s hidden gems — full of beaches, vineyards, historic towns, and the best seafood you’ll ever eat. Stay a few extra days and explore. Additionally, other popular towns, cities, and countries are a short flight/train way, take advantage of that too!!

Question

Where’s the wedding venue?

Answer

El Invernadero Del Pazo Rúa do Pazo, s/n Bueu - Pontevedra, Galicia 36939 *Can easily be found on Google Maps or Apple Maps* Built in the 17th century, the Pazo de Santa Cruz is a BEAUTIFUL place. At the top of the Pontevedra estuary, also known as the pazo de quitapesares, accompanies its historic construction with gardens, chapel, centuries-old forests and an English greenhouse.

Question

Will there be transportation provided?

Answer

TBD. We will try our hardest to provide a shuttle to/from the venue on the wedding day. For now, plan to taxi/carpool/drive to the venue. After we figure out prices and logistics, we will provide an update on here!

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

For the ceremony and reception, semi-formal attire fits perfectly with our Spanish Pazo setting. Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Think elevated summer chic — light fabrics, breezy vibes, and shoes that can handle a little cobblestone (it will get chilly during the early mornings and evenings - be sure to bring a light sweater/jacket). Colors: Anything, but white or anything that looks close to white (DUH)

Question

What's the weather like in Galicia?

Answer

You’re in for a lovely autumn vibe! On average, daytime highs in early October hover around 19-25 °C (≈ 67-73 °F), while evenings often cool down to about 12-13 °C (≈ 54-55 °F). However, definitely keep a look out on the weather app closer to the wedding date and before you pack. Weather is always unpredictable these days! Since Galicia might be a little rainy this time of year, packing a light jacket or wrap for the evening (and maybe an umbrella or waterproof layer) is a smart idea.
