FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Attire for the wedding is Black Tie Optional (dark suits with ties or tuxedos for men, floor or ankle-length dresses for ladies). Since the ceremony will be held on the Gazebo Lawn at the Omni, we recommend block heels for ladies. Attire for the Welcome Gathering is Cocktail. We kindly ask that ladies avoid dresses in white or ivory for the Welcome Gathering and the Wedding.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

If it’s sunny, the Ceremony will be outdoors on the Gazebo Lawn. Cocktail Hour will be indoors in the Birdcage Walk and the Reception will be indoors in the Diplomat Ballroom.

Question

How should I RSVP and what is the deadline?

Answer

Once you receive your invitation, please RSVP via Zola, using the RSVP tab, by March 22, 2026.

Question

Will there be parking at the welcome gathering?

Answer

Yes, there are a handful of garages near Sequoia in the Georgetown Waterfront area. The two closest garages are: 3000 K St. NW - $17 for the evening, open 24 hours, 6'2" clearance 901 30th St NW - $17 for the evening, open until 12AM, 8'3" clearance Additional parking garages can be found at https://www.ecolonial.com/park-with-us/parking-locator/ by searching for "Sequoia DC". Make sure to check the hours of additional garages to ensure you can get back into your car at the end of the night!

Question

Will there be parking at the wedding?

Answer

Yes, the Omni Shoreham has valet-only parking. Event-only parking is $40 for the evening and hotel guest parking is $55 per night (exclusive of tax).

Question

What is the best way to get to the wedding?

Answer

Uber and Lyft will be the most convenient. The Omni Shoreham is a 4 minute walk from the Woodley Park metro station. There are several events happening in DC on June 13th (UFC Freedom 250 Fanfest at the Ellipse, Nats vs. Mariners in Navy Yard, Pride on the Pier at the Wharf, and Warped Tour at RFK Stadium Grounds), so please plan accordingly and give yourself plenty of travel time to account for traffic!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive at 4:30pm in order to park, make your way through the hotel, and get seated before the ceremony begins. Our ceremony at the Omni will begin promptly at 5:00pm.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We’ll be having an unplugged ceremony so everyone can be fully present in the moment. Our professional photographer will capture everything beautifully, and we can’t wait to share those photos with you afterward.

Question

Can I bring additional guests?

Answer

We’re excited to celebrate with our nearest and dearest! To keep our celebration intimate, we kindly ask that only those listed on the invitation attend (you can also find these names enumerated when you RSVP online). If your invitation includes a plus one, their name (or “Guest”) will be indicated. We can't wait to see you there!

Question

I have a food allergy or dietary restriction; can I make a special request?

Answer

We will have peanut-free, gluten-friendly, and vegetarian options available at both the welcome party and the wedding. If you have one of the aforementioned restrictions, a restriction not listed, and/or a cross-contamination risk, please indicate it within the provided space on your RSVP and we will ensure your meal meets your dietary needs!
