Hotel
This is a great hotel in the heart of downtown West Chester, which has the charm of a small historic town and walkable for bars, restaurants, the Saturday morning farmer's market, and other small-town downtowny things. It's about halfway between the ceremony and reception sites, home of the afterparty, and we've got a nice room block for our guests. You'll need to call to book to access the block though. Also, they may or may not still have a popcorn machine in the lobby.

There are many Airbnb options in West Chester. We've performed the search for 2 adults for the wedding weekend for you! You can also search Kennett Square or Chadds Ford, PA.
Hotel
This hotel is nicely located for access to the church, Longwood Gardens, and downtown Kennett Square. Applebee's, Walmart, Wayback Burgers, and Plaza Azteca are within walking distance, and if you have a rental car it is easy access to most area attractions...including our wedding. We don't have a room block here, but they do take payment in Hilton points, if you happen to have a mess of those that need to be used. The Hampton Inn Chadd's Ford is good for this as well, and has a Chick-fil-a next door.

Want to stay in a real BnB? There are a few in the area. Here's a link to a Kayak search. We haven't vetted these are anything, but the reviews look good!
Flight
Philadelphia is the closest airport - about a 45 - 60 minute drive. Although there are trains, they go into the city, and won't be particularly effective at getting you to the weekend's action. If you're deal-hunting or just have a thing for flying into small, semi-obscure airports, Lehigh Valley (cradle of the US cement industry) and Harrisburg are both about 75 minute drives to West Chester. Not a fan of jet engines on your planes, and want a view through the cockpit window? Try the little 9-seaters with Southern Airways Express into Lancaster and Amish Country (about 1 hour drive to West Chester).
Train
Amtrak stations in the general vicinity include Exton, Wilmington, and Newark. Exton is closest, while the latter two are good choices if visiting Delaware is on your bucket list. For any of these, you'll still need to rent a car or get a ride from the station.
