Redwood Sky Walk at Sequoia Park Zoo
Such a fun opportunity to go and see nature from a new vantage point! Double up and check out the zoo while you’re here. I hear we just got a new red panda.
Arcata Community Forest
There are several access points for trails in this city park, and it’s a gorgeous opportunity to see some big trees without having to drive very far.
Clam Beach County Park
This place is special for us. We've had several dates walking along the beach, and it's where we got engaged!
Café Brio
Best croissants I've ever had, seriously. A good option if you want a bougie French cafe style breakfast.
Avenue of the Giants
If you have extra time while you drive north, take exit 645 marked Avenue of the Giants Scenic Route. It takes you down 31 miles of scenic state route 254, weaving through some of the most beautiful redwood groves our county has to offer! This route eventually reconnects to HWY 101 at exit 674.
