Maid of Honor
Sarah has known Chelsi since her birth, making sure to be that bossy older sister ever since. These two have been life-long friends, since dancing and recreating Disney movies as kids (and sometimes as adults) to visiting each other long-distance in recent years. Even though they are far apart they are still close at heart.
Best Man
John and Matthew met in 2013 shortly after Matthew moved to California. Sharing a love of college football as well as Midwestern roots, the two decided to room together, and would do so for the better part of the next 7 years. In fact legend says that when the women of their lives get tired of their endless cynical and sarcastic humor they will once again unite and find an overly-priced Livermore townhouse to live out their days.
Bridesmaid
Sarah met Kelly when Kelly began dating John. But it is when she moved in with John, Sarah, and Matthew mere days before the world shut down, that they became close. And they could not have asked for a better roommate. Sarah finally had a fellow female to do all her crafts and projects alongside, and Kelly is still Sarah's boardgame buddy and Disney Date for new movie releases.
Groomsman
What are big brothers for, but to help raise you up tough through constant teasing, annoying, and picking on you? That is something that Matthew can always count on Andrew for. But his brother has also been there for him from the beginning whether kicking the soccer ball together out in the yard, playing classic MS Dos games on an old PC, or recording all the national anthems of the world onto a tape recorder. Andrew has always been a role model throughout Matthew's life, and will continue to be as Matthew begins his own family.
Bridesmaid
Sarah met Kat through Matthew's Cincinnati Bay Area alumni group. Since then they have bonded over their love of Cincinnati sports, skyline, clarinet, and general shenanigans when they visit each other. When Sarah's other friend and bridesmaid, Frankie, came out to the Bay Area to visit, she wanted to visit her friend "Kat" in the city, and none of them were aware of the common friendship all three shared until Kat walked in the door and Sarah said, "Hey, I know you!"
Groomsman
Matthew and Tim met back in middle school and have been close friends since high school, where the two shared a love of nerdy physics experiments as well as competed together on the track team. Despite going to separate universities and now living on opposite coasts they remained close and have visited each other several times over the years. They were Rocket League buddies during the pandemic, playing soccer with cars online while discussing the inner workings of humanity... you know, normal stuff.
Bridesmaid
Sarah met Frankie at Kettering College and the two immediately bonded as they were both "going back" to school for Ultrasound degrees. They shared all of their classes together and not only did they study together, but Frankie would keep Sarah awake in the dimly-lit lectures. Since then they have kept in touch despite being many states apart. They also share a coincidentally common friendship in Kat.
Groomsman
Matthew met Mark when he moved into Delta Chi for his 5th and final year at UC, and it was clear from the get go that they had found their twin troublemaker in each other. They remained close after Matthew graduated and visited each other often. This included an epic tour of Morocco together in 2018, where the two of them attempted (and failed) to go into the carpet business together.
Bridesmaid
Sarah and Sarah (or Sarah squared) met in the summer of 2015 when Sarah (the bride) came out to live in Livermore between semesters in college. They worked at a hair salon together, but have remained close ever since. The Sarahs like to enjoy a nice bottle of wine, or white claws, on Sarah's (the bridesmaid) back porch while discussing life and watching her kids play, as well as going to the kids' football games and cheerleading practice.
Groomsman
Matthew and Mateusz met through John sometime around 2014, but it was during the last couple years that they got close, especially during the Pandemic. In fact it was Mat's "Kramer-like" appearances that brought much-needed smiles and joy to Sarah and Matthew during the very trying year. He was their pandemic buddy through Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and Easter, sharing in the small feasts that they all created together.
Flower Girl
Lydia is Sarah's recently-turned 7 year-old cousin. She has a love for playing dress-up, and is very excited to be all fancied up as the flower girl.
Ring Bearer
Don't let his adorable smile fool you, their is mischief in this little bilingual German-American. Fritz is Matthew's 3 year-old nephew who lives in Mainz, Germany.
