Mark had been planning to propose in front of Sarah's favorite Christmas tree in Faneuil Hall. But there was one problem, the city canceled that tree! Mark pivoted his secret plan to the Boston Common tree instead. He told Sarah that he wanted to take her to see the Christmas tree on Saturday, followed by a fancy dinner to celebrate finishing her last final on Friday. Then came problem 2...

They were predicting a nor'easter for Boston that Saturday. Mark again changed plans asking Sarah if she wanted to see the tree on Friday instead. When they got to the Boston Common tree Mark was looking around nervously. Sarah wanted to walk around the park and look at the other decorations, but Mark insisted they stay at the tree. A photographer approached saying she was with the Boston Globe and then Mark got down on one knee. He had a long proposal speech with some anime quotes (of course), but it was a magical moment!
