FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00pm. Prelude music will begin at approximately 5:30. Guests should plan to arrive no later than 5:40 pm.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal/Cocktail Cocktail/long dresses and suits welcome. Men should be in button-up shirts and ladies in dress/pants suit. This is an excuse to get dressed up and fancy, while dancing the night away! Please refrain from wearing white out of respect for the bride. Please refrain from wearing jeans/sneakers/tshirts/hoodies.

Question

Is there parking at the Venue?

Answer

There is a large field directly across from the venue that is designated for Kurtz's Beach parking. Please follow signs and park in that field. A shuttle will also be provided for those staying in the room blocks.

Question

What food/drink will be provided?

Answer

We will have an open bar with a signature cocktail. Passed and stationary hors d'oeuvres (with some hints of Maryland) will be served during cocktail hour. Dinner will be a buffet featuring 3 proteins: chicken, beef, or seafood along with 2 sides. If you have an allergy or diet restriction please let us know via the RSVP card.

Question

Do you have a hashtag?

Answer

What kind of millennial would we be if we didn't?!? As you take pictures throughout the weekend we would love to see them! Please use the hashtag #livinlavidalindquist for all wedding related posts!

Question

COVID Questions: Are you requiring vaccinations or negative COVID-19 tests? Are you offering COVID-19 tests? Are you requiring masks? Do the venues require masks?

Answer

We are not requiring proof of vaccinations or negative COVID-19 tests and we are not providing COVID-19 tests. At this time, we are not requiring masks, but feel free to wear one based off your own comfort level. We do ask that you please remove your mask for all photos. We have hired the best photographers to capture all of your beautiful faces and don't want to look back and see masks in our memories and pictures! That said, we highly encourage all of our guests to get the vaccine (in consultation with your doctor). At this time, the venues are not requiring masks - though, this could change! Check back on this website for updates as the date approaches.

Question

Is the wedding outside or inside?

Answer

Barring inclement weather, the ceremony will be outside on the water. We hope for a gorgeous day where we can take in the beautiful Chesapeake Bay scenery behind us! Cocktail hour will be a mix of inside and outside, as the venue has several areas to enjoy. The reception will be inside their ballroom. Should rain or other inclement weather occur the ceremony and cocktail hour will be moved inside to an adjacent ballroom. As the wedding is outside, on the water, in late September, please come prepared with a light jacket or shawl in case you get chilly.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

While we love children, we would like to keep this an adult-only event with the exception of children in the wedding party (flower girls and ring bearers). We want all family and friends to have a stress free, worry-free, fun night! Please only bring children if they were listed on your invitation.

Question

What is an "unplugged" ceremony and are you having one?

Answer

Yes we are having an unplugged ceremony! This means we are asking family and friends to turn off their cell-phones and other electronic devices and refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We have an amazing photographer who will capture the moment and we want you to be present with us! Once cocktail hour begins, feel free to take as many photos as you wish!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

While we would love to host everyone, we are hoping to celebrate with just our closest friends and family. Please bring only those indicated on the invitation or envelope.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We want to make sure all of our guests can have fun and be safe! A complimentary shuttle for hotel guests only will be available to transport guests from the Fairfield Inn and Home2Suites to the venue, Kurtz's Beach. The last shuttle to the venue will be at 5:15pm, please plan to be on this shuttle to arrive at the ceremony on time. The shuttle will transport guests from the venue to the hotel at 8:30pm, 9:30pm, and 10:30pm.
