We are experiencing the effects of Covid-19 in our hospitals and communities firsthand and are monitoring the situation closely. Nothing is more important to us than the safety of the friends and family we love and cherish. We are cautiously optimistic that by May 2021 there will be significant vaccine distribution to the general population HOWEVER if this year has taught us anything it is that life is unpredictable. Therefore, we have a Plan A, B, and C for the wedding pending the level of Covid infections, Philadelphia regulations, and overall safety. Of course, we will understand if you are unable to attend due to infection concerns despite our best efforts. In the meantime, we will keep our website updated and our fingers crossed! Current planned safety measures in place for our wedding are listed on the "Home" page of our wedding website - check it out for more details!
Please RSVP via the mailed reply card by April 22nd. The card includes space to provide your email address so we can give any additional wedding updates leading up to the big day.
Due to venue limitations from Covid regulations we are limiting plus-ones, but if your invitation included your significant other or a "Guest", then please feel free to bring a date!
While we would love to see your kids at the wedding, due to venue capacity limits and infection concerns we ask that you plan to enjoy a "parents only" ceremony and reception. If you have specific concerns or questions, please reach out to Sarah or Loren directly.
Our wedding ceremony and reception on 5/22 will be cocktail/semi-formal attire, while our 5/21 welcome party and 5/23 farewell brunch will both be casual. But when it comes down to it, we will be happy to see you in whatever you wear!
On May 22, the temperature in Philadelphia typically ranges from 57°F to 74°F and is rarely below 48°F or above 85°F. There is a ~33% chance of rain based on historical trends (rain = good luck on the day of a wedding!), but in the event of bad weather we will have tents at our venue.
We will be able to accommodate most dietary preferences. Please just let us know any restrictions on the formal invite when it is sent out.
You will be able to enter the Barnes Foundation starting at 5:30pm. The wedding ceremony will start at 6:00 pm (Sarah loves a punctual schedule), so we would recommend arriving at the venue between 5:30 and 5:45.
We will not be providing transportation to the Barnes Foundation for the wedding ceremony. Luckily, all of the recommended hotels are within a few blocks of the Barnes Foundation, so it is an easy walk/drive/rideshare to the venue! We will be providing transportation from the Barnes Foundation to the Logan Hotel after the wedding, with trolley rides starting at 9:30 and extending through the end of the reception at 11:30. You can take this to get to the After Party without missing a beat! There will be no transportation to or from the Welcome Reception or Farewell Brunch.
There is a free parking available for guests on site at The Barnes Foundation. The lot is located on Pennsylvania Avenue between 20th and 21st Streets.
We want all of our guests to enjoy themselves, and that includes taking pictures! If you do post to social media, please use #MeadMeAtTheAltar so that we can find all of the photos in one place after the event. Additional hashtag suggestions welcome!
You can reach out directly to Sarah (952-288-0188) or Loren (484-645-7113) with any questions!
