FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sarah McKenzie Clifford and John David McCray III
Question

When Should I RSVP By?

Answer

To help us plan a seamless celebration, please RSVP as soon as you can! However, we kindly ask that you RSVP no later than June 15, 2026. If we don’t receive your RSVP by this date, we won’t be able to make exceptions and will have to mark you as a “no.” This allows us enough time to finalize our guest count and share the details with our venue. We really appreciate your understanding and help in making our day run smoothly!

Question

What Is The Dress Code?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests dress in summer semi-formal attire! We’re envisioning a coastal, summer-inspired look that feels polished yet relaxed, dressed up, but still comfortable for warm weather. Think light fabrics, flowy dresses, chic jumpsuits, or dress shirts and slacks with lightweight suits or sport coats (ties optional). We love color and pattern, especially bright, beachy tones and summery textures that fit the season. We’d love for our guests to embrace color, so we kindly ask that you save white for the bride. Overall, we want everyone to feel special and enjoy the celebration, so choose an outfit that makes you feel great! And if you’re unsure, it’s always better to be slightly overdressed than underdressed. For more inspo/to see a mood board: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/438678819975568549/

Question

Are You Registered? Where?

Answer

We’ve created registries with a mix of things we love and will use in our new life together. You can find us registered at Amazon, Zola, and Pottery Barn. Please visit the Registry tab for more information!

Question

What Time Should I Arrive at the Ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 5:30 pm. We kindly ask guests to arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony begins to allow time to park, find your seat, and settle in before the festivities start.

Question

Are Kids Welcome?

Answer

Our wedding will be mostly an adults-only celebration, though some children are invited — primarily those who are close family members of the bride and groom. The best way to know if your little ones are included is to check your invitation: if it’s addressed to your entire family, your children are invited. You can also confirm by checking if they are listed under your name in the RSVP section of this website. For those of you who will be bringing children, we kindly ask that you watch them closely so everyone can enjoy the celebration safely and comfortably.

Question

Can I Bring A Guest/Date?

Answer

We’ve carefully planned our guest list, and due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please check your invitation — if it includes “& Guest” after your name, you are welcome to bring a date. When RSVPing, please be sure to include your guest’s name along with yours.

Question

Will The Wedding Take Place Indoors or Outdoors?

Answer

Both our ceremony and reception will take place at The Beaufort Hotel. Weather permitting, our ceremony will be held outdoors on the pavilion lawn with the beautiful Beaufort waterfront as our backdrop. Cocktail hour will take place both indoors in the spacious pre-function area and outdoors on the wrap-around veranda. Our reception will be held indoors in the elegant Rachel Carson Ballroom.
