#OnePachonATime in San Antonio, Texas We are grateful every single day to God for bringing us together in the Lord's perfect timing. For those that don't know, Sarah & Hector's love story has been 10 years in the making, although, they didn't know it at first. Sarah & Hector met 10 years ago in San Antonio, Texas. Sarah had just won the Miss Independence of Colombia Pageant and was wearing her yellow, blue and red colored sash. Hector saw her from the other side of the dance floor and fixed his eyes on the beautiful colors of the Colombian flag, until his big brown eyes met with hers. He extended his hand and said "Hello, queen, would you like to dance". As they were dancing, they couldn't believe the fairy tale that was unveiling before their eyes without even knowing it. #OncePachonaTime in Garzon, Colombia It turned out that they were from the same "pueblo" in Colombia! This village is called Garzon, Huila, which is a mountainous region known for it's coffee and rice production. After this moment, they maintained a close friendship for the next 9 years. #OncePachonaTime in Florida It wasn't until 2018, when Hector was living in Orlando and by God's grace, Sarah was visiting her mom and granny in Orlando. Hector reached out to catch up with Sarah over lunch and after this lunch and hours of catching up on each others' lives...the rest was history! After a couple months of Hector courting Sarah, they became boyfriend and girlfriend and after a year of dating, Hector was sure that Sarah was the queen of his heart and Sarah was sure that Hector was the prince that she had been praying for God to send her way.
That's why when they were vacationing in San Agustin, Colombia, on December 27th, 2019, Hector got on one knee overlooking a beautiful mountainside and asked Sarah to continue this fairy tale for the rest of their lives together.
