Matron of Honor
Rachel has been by my side since she showed up in the world. She was stuck with me as a big sister and has been keeping me on my toes since 1996. Ever since she was born, she has kept me humble and reminded me not to take life so seriously. Her optimism and sass have brought out the best in me, and I’m so lucky to have her as my little sister.
Matron of Honor
Jen has been by my side since 2014, when I first moved to North Carolina and joined the Raleigh Women’s Rugby Team. I instantly found not just a teammate, but a mentor and lifelong friend. From showing me the ropes on the pitch to sweating it out together at Title Boxing Club, Jen has always pushed me to be stronger while keeping me grounded in the best way. We bonded over sports, cooking, and a shared love for all things North Carolina, and I’m endlessly grateful for her steady presence, wisdom, and heart!
Maid of Honor
Abi and I met in 2017 and decided to be roommates within 15 minutes of meeting each other. After living together for three years, we are inseparable. Abi’s spontaneity and sense of adventure kept me sane and social throughout medical school. Even though we no longer live together, we have still been there throughout life’s ups and downs, laughing louder than everyone else in the room along the way.
Bridesmaid
Linda has been part of my story since 2015, when we met at Cisco—and no matter how many seasons life has taken us through, our friendship has always stayed constant. From inside jokes at work to me proudly serving as her “Mambo No. 5” on the rugby team, Linda has been a steady source of laughter, loyalty, and love. Even as she moved from Raleigh to NYC to Austin to Portland, the miles never mattered. Linda and her husband, Mauricio, have been some of my biggest cheerleaders, and I’m so fortunate to have them in my life!
Bridesmaid
Mackenzie and I met in junior high and ran cross country and track together. Between 400m relays and carpooling to school, we bonded over playing piano, listening to Christmas music (way too early), and being very confused closeted kids (whoops). Our weekly sleepovers have evolved to extensive voice memos about every topic under the sun. Mackenzie has supported me through every life stage imaginable, and I can’t wait to have her by my side on our big day!
Bridesmaid
Shirin (she/her—dang Zola has a character limit) and I met in 2015 at Cisco, where we both worked in and were ambassadors for Capital—and from the very beginning, we just clicked. Her positive, effervescent spirit is impossible to miss, and her huge heart is felt by everyone lucky enough to know her! Shirin has a rare gift for making people feel truly heard, seen, and appreciated, and she brings warmth, light, and her phenomenal cooking and baking wherever she goes. I’m so grateful to call her a close friend and have her whole family in my life!
Bridesman
Adam and I met in 2024 when he matched into our UNC Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery residency program. He annoyed me until I decided we could be friends. Eventually, though, we bonded over deep thoughts, pints of Guinness, and the healing powers of Gregory Alan Isakov. His infectious positivity keeps me going on tough days in residency, and our shared dark humor makes me laugh every time we’re together. Fun fact: Adam was the first person to hear about Brielle and quickly became our "son."
Bridesmaid
Rachel came into my life in 2021, and from the very beginning, it felt like we’d known each other forever—bonding instantly over our shared love of our favorite band, My Chemical Romance. What started as a friendship quickly grew into something deeper, with Rachel becoming like a sister to me. Through every high and low, her love, her encouragement, and unwavering support has been present. Rachel is a one-a-kind friend, colleague, daughter, sister, and mother, and I endlessly admire her energy, discipline, care, and generosity!
