Angus Barn in Raleigh is a classic spot for an unforgettable dining experience. Be sure to make a reservation (far in advance), arrive at least 30 minutes early, and ask for the wine cellar tour—it’s absolutely worth it! If you can, request Betty as your tour guide for an extra special experience.

We highly recommend a visit to the Wedgewood Cheese Bar for a cozy and delicious experience. With incredible cheeses, thoughtfully paired drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s a perfect spot for a relaxed night out. Reservations are highly recommended. It is walking distance from The Crunkleton!
If you’re looking for amazing pastries, coffee, and European-inspired dishes, Guglhupf in Durham is a wonderful stop. It’s a local favorite, so wait times can be long, but it’s well worth it! This is where we went for our third date before strolling through Duke Gardens.
A local favorite we absolutely love is La Farm Bakery — and bonus, there’s even a location conveniently at RDU Airport! If you go, don’t miss the Croque Madame and the white chocolate baguettes… they’re our go-to treats and totally worth the stop.
Boxcar in Durham is a fun place to spend an evening, with classic arcade games, pinball, and drinks in a lively atmosphere. It’s a great spot to have some fun, be a little competitive, and enjoy a playful night out while you’re in town. Don't forget to play B's favorite game "Down the Clown."
