August in Steamboat is warm during the day and cool in the evenings. We recommend: Light layers Comfortable walking shoes A light jacket or wrap for evenings Sunscreen and sunglasses A reusable water bottle (high altitude = stay hydrated!)
You will access Thunderhead Lawn by the Wild Blue Gondola at the base of Steamboat Resort. You will be directed by guides and signage to the ceremony space at the lawn. Cocktail hour and reception will take place directly adjacent to the lawn. More details will be provided the closer we get.
Yes! For guests driving to the base area from town, we will be providing you with a code to park in the Steamboat Square Garage for the evening. Please let our wedding planner, Kelly Jackson (kelly@calicoweddings.com) know if you need this option when we are within a month of wedding day.
Yes, the dress code is summer mountain formal. Think elevated, formal attire with a relaxed mountain touch. For a late-August wedding in Steamboat Springs, we recommend elegant dresses (maxi/floor length) for women, and lightweight suits or dress shirts with a blazer for men. We suggest bringing a light jacket or wrap for cooler mountain evenings. No jeans, shorts, sandals or cocktail dresses please.
We love your kids but kindly ask that you leave them at home. We can't wait to spend the weekend enjoying your company, child-free!
Please RSVP no later than June 30th.
