Please RSVP by July 19th. We need to get an accurate head count by then so we can make sure we have enough tables and chairs and food for everyone!
We have our registry on this website. Because almost everyone is going to be traveling for the wedding, feel free to ship gifts to us in Springfield. We promise not to open ALL of them before the wedding.
The botanical gardens are tucked away in Washington Park and can be ever so slightly tricky to find. Keep in mind the ceremony starts at 4:00 pm so factor in getting lost time! If you arrive early you can stroll through the beautiful gardens, look at the roses, sit under the shade of a nice tree, or admire the lovely lake.
The dress code is not terribly strict. Jeans would be under-dressed, a ballgown would be excessive. Do keep in mind that early September in Illinois can be hot and humid. Groomsmen will be in grey suits and the bridal party will be in cocktail attire.
With deep regrets, we are not able to have kids at the wedding. Hopefully parents can see this as an opportunity to take a mini-vacation from the kids (there'll be an open bar!) and enjoy themselves all the more.
There is not, but a taxi or Uber should not cost more than $10. Feel free to carpool!
We will have food by Cured Catering, a fantastic local caterer from right here in Springfield! We will have a Cheese and Charcuterie Platter for hors d'ouevres and then a buffet consisting of beef brisket, pesto chicken, vegan option, baked mac n cheese, green beans, and salad. You can check out their menu and more here: https://curedcaters.com/menu/
It's open bar, folks, c'mon.
