The weather in Ohio during mid-October is what we call "Perfect Sarah Weather": Highs in the mid-60s, lows in the mid-40s. You'll want to bring a jacket if you plan to be outside a lot during your stay. Our wedding ceremony and reception are both indoors, with an outdoor cocktail hour, weather permitting. Our venue has a great patio and a lot of outdoor space that people are welcome to hang out in if they choose, which could get chilly towards the end of the night.
There will not be a shuttle provided to the venue before the ceremony, however if you have concerns around getting to the ceremony, please let us know. We do currently plan to provide a shuttle from the venue back to the hotels and Oregon District, however the details are not yet locked in. We'll provide more info when we have it, but we do want to ensure that some transportation is provided so no one feels the need to drive after drinking. Please reach out to Jason or Sarah directly if you have any specific concerns in the meantime!
Kind of! Ubers exist in Dayton, but they are few and far between. The wait times for Ubers are often 15-20 minutes, so please consider that when planning to get to your many exciting adventures that you have planned in Dayton, Ohio.
For "Cocktail Attire", think somewhere between a sophisticated formal occasion and office or party wear. When in doubt, your best little black dress, a pair of sensible heels or dressy flats, some nice earrings, and a classy clutch are perfect. Dressy suits or nice jumpsuits paired with heels or formal flats would also be appropriate. For men, cocktail attire pretty universally means a suit and tie. A tux would be a little too formal for this wedding.
