In Oaxaca, the weather in November is mostly sunny with very few days of rain. The daily high temperatures are usually in the 70s-80s, with lows in the 40s-50s.
The church and reception are both located in the city center and are within walking distance of each other. We encourage our guests to look for accommodations in this area and take the opportunity to walk through the beautiful city streets! Taxis are quite cheap, easily hailed on the street, and can be requested at most hotels.
The dress code for our wedding is Cocktail Attire.
The welcome cocktail will be on a rooftop, the ceremony will be inside a church, and the reception will be in a courtyard with an open ceiling!
We are so excited to celebrate with you! Please note that your invitation is for the number of guests listed, and due to limited space, we are unable to accommodate additional guests.
We have decided not to block rooms for guests to allow people to choose the option that best fits their needs. We are providing a list of hotels and hostels around the city center that we found to be good options. Please feel free to use this link to look for an option that best fits your needs: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-hxMM-xpOmszlc4Z9bOGvrmot1dwBW-jS2biKSB1juc/edit?usp=sharing
Oaxacan cuisine is known for its vibrant flavors and indigenous traditions. We will be providing a buffet-style dinner with traditional Oaxacan dishes. We plan on having vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. If you have additional restrictions that go beyond what we've listed here, please let us know in the designated section of your digital RSVP. We want you to feel comfortable and well fed!
Mexico uses the Mexican Peso ($, MX$, Mex$). Cents are called Centavos (¢). Coins go from 5¢ to 10MX$. Banknotes for pesos go from 20MX$ to 1000MX$. Usually, $1 USD is between 17MX$ to 20MX$. While smaller places will generally only accept cash, some larger stores and restaurants accept debit/credit cards. When paying by card, they will generally ask if you would like to pay in dollars or in pesos, at which point it is almost always better to pay in the local currency, as your bank will give a better exchange rate than most vendors
Not if you are coming from the US. Mexico and the US have the same outlets!
